I'm overwhelmed by the responses I got for my speech. I'm owing something back to you all by replying to just about everyone who posted there. This is taking a long time, though but I've had a lot of fun reading all the posts in my thread, even the silly naysayers. No doubt this is the best thread I've ever made on the BBS and I'm not much of a great thread maker to begin with.
Listening to:
Metallica - Garage Inc. I actually thank Haggard for getting me to get this. It's a decent set of covers and for £5, who can complain?
Thanks to:

Oh, I thought I did tell you but the Chat Log says otherwise. Anyway, I thought the song was pretty good. Maybe another listen or two and it'll grow on me even more.
Great. :)
I believe it's your turn to try out something by listening to that Overkill song.
Where's the fun in that?
Well, you don't actually hear them but only see them. It's painful to the eyes, but at least you don't have to listen to this horrible thing they call "music".
It is music whether you like it or not.
Not if they were declared that in the Guinness world records.
Guinness doesn't list "the loudest band" any longer.
Maybe not but at one point in their lives, that's what they were declared as.
We can't argue on that because Motörhead are damn good! I'm looking forward to their new album.
And then you will rock out again with your cock out?
Of course I will. Man, I can't believe how little of Motörhead I actually have.
Like I said, they didn't have any monitors exploding in the first place so they're lucky. And besides, what if they're using a laptop such as myself?
If their laptop displays explodes they are really unlucky. Because it's not exactly easy to replace.
Good thing my laptop is immune to exploding from awesomeness.

One Foot in the Grave is from the 90s. Does that mean it takes at least 20 years for our shows to be broadcasted in the Netherlands? :P
Yeah...
Well no it's probably not that bad, but Dutch TV station are really annoying when it comes to broadcasting series. They're always at least one season behind the UK and USA, they keep rewinding older episodes (especially with series like The Simpsons and South Park) and if there is an interesting series I'd like to follow it's always broadcasted on normal weekdays at 00:30 or some other unholy time.
I take it they favour crap like reality shows and soap operas? It seems every country is like this and it's a damn shame. They are nothing but cancer to television.
And they're wondering why so many people here watch TV series via the internet...
I'm not even sure if the new season of Futurama has aired in the UK yet so I've resorted to watching them on the internet. I'd watch it on TV if they released the episodes sooner and I'll buy the season box set when it comes out.
Don't forget to mention about the dragon you may have told her at some point. ;)
Yeah I already told her I got a dragon buddy here. Don't think it convinced her...
If a dragon doesn't convince someone to join Newgrounds, nothing will.
Yes but for now, we've got icons to work on. :P
... alright. If you insist on spending most of your summer that way. Remember that you're still young right now.
My friends aren't doing much anyway but we're still the young ones.
That's only for local multiplayer games. Online multiplayer games you can spend hours on such as TF2.
Oh yeah, but you can also play those online if you tell people your friend code and all. Not sure how that worked and I never cared to figure it out. I can't imagine it would've kept me interested in them for that much longer though.
It works differently for TF2 and most computer games since all you need is the server information and you're good to go.
Haha, I went much further than that. I recall something for the Zoras. Don't tell me that was a sidequest all along.
Oh wait a minute. Yeah I probably know where you are. That part wasn't so difficult though, you could easily catch the fish you needed if you know where it was. I'm a little surprised that that's the part where you gave up, because there were other parts in the game that were more of a turn off.
I just don't like fishing. And besides, that was around the time my sister borrowed the Wii for a while. After that, I just lost interest.
I may go back to the Wii since Metroid: Other M comes out next Friday and I really want to play this game. Although I never finished Metroid Prime 3, I sure as hell enjoy the franchise overall. Who knows, maybe I'll get back to Prime 3 after this or even play through the trilogy together.
I just wish they made more games that were specific on the music genres rather than one that caters a bit for everyone. I'd be more much satisfied with an all-metal Guitar Hero game but even that depends on what they can get.
Exactly! That's what my thought was on how to improve the series. Having specific genre's or specific era's for each game. I'd love a Classic Rock or 60's and/or 70's Guitar Hero themed game and I'm sure other people will like Metal or 90's or Pop or whatever.
They did make an 80s Guitar Hero game and they really need to make more games like that.
Making icons and helping out for the future of Newgrounds is hardcore.
Nothing wrong with making it a little extra hardcore by adding a doze of danger to it.
Icon making is hardcore enough.
Speaking of Gagsy, she hasn't been here for a while now. She even took that break or whatever a few days after the meet.
She did make her 31,000th post in here.
Yes but she hasn't been here much recently. I CARE FOR HER!
That would get me to tune in to them. I haven't even bothered with them for so long now.
Nope me neither. I can't remember the last time I watched MTV... well actually I can't remember the last time MTV broadcasted music =/
It must have been ages ago since they last played music. Yeah. you know a TV channel is bad when they completely forget the original purpose of themselves.

Wut? They gotta be from Holland, but I've never heard of them.
Yeah they are. I'll be seeing them live next month along with a few other viking metal bands. Well, that's if I'm permitted by the school to take the days off then.

Eh, not anymore. Game2rule's Puzzle Room Escape 1-26 kind of killed off the genre for me now.
Too bad. I'll still enjoy 14hlb's fun little game whenever I play it.
So they just randomly found Newgrounds or heard it was a site to host flash games. They don't even acknowledge the history of this site and just go and submit those flashes.
It more just a concerted effort to get users to their site. They even have a profile on Kongergate where they dump their games on as well.
That explains a lot. I don't even go to Kongregate so I wouldn't even know who uploads their flashes there.
Too bad. At least we're rocking out to Motörhead.
It's a shame there was no video of that. You would have thought some one might have brought a camera to record it.
I thought someone did but I don't know who it was. Maybe it was never recorded in the first place. :( Next meet up, we need our karaokes recorded.
