I played a remake on the GBA of something. Could be that it was the original Metroid. I think I had some difficulties with the aiming in the game and that also turned me off.

Lol, yeah I beat it on Hard Mode as well, but the Boost Guardian is a total bitch. Mainly for being out in the dark atmosphere with no light crystals. Damn. I think he is the only halfway boss that took me more than five tries.

Yeah, you'll often find a point in a videogame which is tough, but you'll always get through it eventually. Some people tend to give up quickly when they got bored of trying.

Last year I ordered Metroid Prime 1 because it was only 13 euros. I was very happy with it and I still gotta do a second run through it on hard mode.

I think I got Metroid Prime for £20 but I won't remember now. It's been that long.

I guess you got it somewhat later than the release date then. I think I got MP2 for 50 euros or so, which is the standard price for something new.

I looked up an article about Pink Floyd and Guitar Hero. Apparently, members of Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones did not like Guitar Hero cause they'd rather have kids to learn to play a real guitar or instrument. It also says Led Zeppelin expressed similar complaints, which might be the bitching you referred to.

But the drummer did say in 2009 that a Pink Floyd Rock Band might happen someday, because it's difficult to sell records these days and bands have to look for new ways to sell their music.

Way different with my brother. He's more into pop music and the kind of thing you hear at dance clubs. Luckily he doesn't turn his speakers up that often.

They are one of the best bands around today, imo.

Lol, well I can recognize that that is gibberish. But the more serious war movies, like Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers (TV series actually) do seem to have proper German in them and German people are mostly portrayed as dominant and aggressive people I believe.

I believe Band of Brothers is considered the best miniseries ever made. I did a marathon with some friends once and it was awesome. I can definitely recommend it.

I can't remember much about Saving Private Ryan anymore. Last time I watched it was last year or so. But I guess you are right, people would probably find it wrong if the German soldiers were portrayed as good people or something.

It would be interesting for a movie though, to look through the perspective of a German soldier for once and see that they are not much different from the American soldiers when it comes down to it. I don't know if that's ever been done before.

Oh, btw: What about Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds? He is very polite most of the time.

I took 2 semesters of French in High School. They were awful. I can't believe Spanish is like the cousin of the French language. They may look alike when I see it written, but the pronunciation is completely different and nothing related to Spanish. Not to mention the accent, my French teacher told me that my accent, each time when he put me to read in front of the class, was horrible. I almost barfed each time that I had to do the accent. I just fail at it ._.

I'm afraid I can't make any since, as I've already explained you in past posts, the lady had to attend multiple meetings and I'm not an official student from there. And this doesn't mean that I will leave Newgrounds. First dead if I have to leave NG permamently.

Heh, talking about English Vs French made me remember something hilarious that happened in French class. One day, my French teacher had to leave the classroom for a while. A classmate took a white blackboard marker and wrote bad words in French, expressing his hate to the language. He even wrote at the end: English rulez.

Anybody who doesn't speak ANY English these days, is like being an illiterate, in my opinion. If you want to graduate from any career in any university in Mexico, you have to speak at least an 80% of English. So, if you plan to study a career here, even if you won't need that language for it, you have to speak English. If you suck at it, say bye bye to your degree. No matter if you're an excellent doctor, teacher, lawyer or whatever.

Well he did start it. Stealing two bases when the game was in effect over. One of those unwritten rules of baseball of not padding thy stats when it's out of hand. Eight seems about right and at least he got a nice left hook in.

I just made level 28. I'm surprised at my exp rank - around 2000th out of over a million users is the top 0.2% and a lot higher than I thought I would be, since I haven't been here as long as a lot of people and I didn't always get my 10 exp every day. I guess a lot of people just don't care? :P

Wait, the second Metroid game? That sounds like Metroid II which wasn't that good either. It was very monotonous. The franchise wasn't awesome until Super Metroid.

Yeah, you'll often find a point in a videogame which is tough, but you'll always get through it eventually. Some people tend to give up quickly when they got bored of trying.

And they're the gamers who aren't determined enough. However, I will cut them some slack if the game is ultra hard like Battletoads.

I wouldn't expect someone who's very much into metal to also like The Beatles since it's like the opposite within the rock genre.

What's wrong with a huge metal fan trying out other music? Infact, ask the guys at the Metal Hell what genres of music besides metal they like. You'll be surprised at the answers.

But the drummer did say in 2009 that a Pink Floyd Rock Band might happen someday, because it's difficult to sell records these days and bands have to look for new ways to sell their music.

Yeah, times are changing and you have to adapt to the modern age, although a band like Pink Floyd is timeless and shouldn't need to do anything these days to maintain their popularity.

You'll be surprised at the sense of humour they have. You wouldn't think in a million years they'd be working for medicine. The Yu-Gi-Oh flashes they have are some of the most random shit I've ever seen and the LOTR parodies are a masterpiece.

Bahamut! I remember you! I originally started posting in this thread back when it was in the double digits. Looking through some of my old posts, I was such a noob!
My first dozen were all questions about how everything on this site worked. Thankfully, you guys were all too happy to answer my questions instead of telling me to look that stuff up on my own.
Man, these forums rocked back in the day. I remember posting here almost everyday. We had a nice tight-knit community.
I do not mean that it is not still there. I have not been around for three years.
