. . . . I guess if you're going to try and steal at least grab different sizes...
Do you work (well, formally work) in the ghetto or something, or are times just that desperate that people are trying to make a quick buck?

No, it's because they're too loud for you. :PLOL too loud. NOW I know why you hate Manowar.Yes, because they suck.
As a matter of fact, this is right. I would like them better if they played with their instruments turned off. :P
They once broke the record for World's Loudest Band.
This "record" is highly doubted by many people.
Also also, how come I like Motörhead? Not too loud for you? :P
Yes. And they don't suck but play good music. :P
And not everyone will have spare monitors lying around. But they won't have to fork out money for exploding monitors. So far I haven't forked out any money. I had a spare monitor and when that exploded I found another one in the stairwell.

Actually, I'm starting to forget now.I still remember what you said. What was that then?
So, what were we talking about?
It was worse for my aunt. She's 52 and everyone insisted she attended my cousin's christening. However, being all the way up in Scotland, traveling isn't easy and she risked some sick days for the event. The job found out about her "sickness" and got sacked. They shouldn't have forced her and if she couldn't take holidays for it, tough shit. I'm prepared to give up the concerts I'm meant to go to next month for my job.At 8/24/10 10:31 AM, Bahamut wrote: They're trying to dictate you and you're 27?Yeah, my niece's christening is on the 11th and I don't know if I want to go, but people are harassing me for an answer. Ah, well that's where the issue gets really life-changing. The family has caused her to lose a job, which is never right. I've got wind that my brother and his woman are using the event as an engagement party, so I really don't want to be there.
Apparently, there will be Karaoke. I am praying that if I must go (for reasons of not looking bad in front of the family, should a convenient excuse not be forthcoming), I can get up on the stage and sing So What.

One of the first things that I will look forward after the redesign is the Audio Portal. I wonder what kind of improvements (besides the new icon size) would have.
But honestly, I'm more interested in the lit portal. I would love reading writings from the users and it will give to Newgrounds a bigger touch of culture, in my opinion.
Another thing that I can't wait to see working here, is the new wiki. When I got invited to help in the medal games section, I just fell in love with it.
It seems like the whole wiki will make things easier for the future users who want to get their questions answered about Newgrounds (besides the wi/ht :P), that will sign up in the future. Even somewhat better than the actual FAQ, IMO.

This may sound absurd but, I just dropped a tear because I found just beautiful and inspiring finding some users which once started as regulars and now they're legends, started by congratulating users for their achievements. I once heard about audio submissions having tags just like flashes and artworks. This will be interesting to see considering how tags for flashes and arts work.
But honestly, I'm more interested in the lit portal. I would love reading writings from the users and it will give to Newgrounds a bigger touch of culture, in my opinion.
I'm not sure how much I'll be using the Lit Portal. Most likely less often than I go to the Audio Portal. I'm still looking forward to it, though and seeing Newgrounds grow.
Out of everything for the future of Newgrounds, I'm looking forward to the updates on the Flash Portal the most as I've done a great job helping out for it. It only makes sense to see my hard work being paid off.

Me and ramagi go a long way back. Infact, my second ever post was quoted by her. I may have been good at typing back then but there's still a fair amount of typos and I had many fail moments.
This may sound absurd but, I just dropped a tear because I found just beautiful and inspiring finding some users which once started as regulars and now they're legends, started by congratulating users for their achievements.
Funny you say that since back when I was 14/15, I was looking up to some of these users and acknowledging them as "legends" around here. ramagi is a great example since she was a high EXP user (well, she still is) as well the top B/P'er at the time. Nowadays, some of you see me as a legend and I just can't take that much credit. XD If I'm a legend, why are there hardly any threads about me? :P I had more threads about me back in 2005 and they were mostly hateful.
We're continuing what they started years ago. That's another reason of why I see newgrounds more than just a website.

Well, you don't actually hear them but only see them. It's painful to the eyes, but at least you don't have to listen to this horrible thing they call "music".
Not if they were declared that in the Guinness world records. They once broke the record for World's Loudest Band. This "record" is highly doubted by many people.
Guinness doesn't list "the loudest band" any longer.
Anyway, loudness doesn't equal greatness, so I don't care who is the loudest band. Because it doesn't mean they are the best.
Also, Spinal Tap play at 11, which is exactly one louder than most blokes play. ;)
Also also, Disaster Area are so loud, the audience listens to the concert about 40 miles away in a bunker. And the band plays on a totally different planet. How cool is that?
We can't argue on that because Motörhead are damn good! I'm looking forward to their new album. Not too loud for you? :PYes. And they don't suck but play good music. :P

If their laptop displays explodes they are really unlucky. Because it's not exactly easy to replace.

Lol, I see :p Still, I think the Benny Hill theme will be more suitable.

... damn.
Oh wait, I know. This is about as monotone as it can get..
Jeez that's really low. I know my study is pretty difficult and generally only around 50% passes a test the first time. On the more difficult subjects it's even less, but I don't think I've never heard of an exam where only 17% passed.I heard the last test in maths was even worse. Out of... I don't know, about 100 people or so only about 10 passed...
Damn... difficult subject I suppose.
Actually if that happened, I think some special rules come into play because the pass percentage is too low. Like extra resits or something.I think we have something like that here as well, but the Prof has to give his OK first and in case of the maths tests he said no. Or something like that. I'm not really involved with that test, I just read about the results.
What the fuck. If 83% of the people screw it up, it's most likely not their fault. The test was just too hard.
Oh like that. Well I think German is a harder language than Dutch, but maybe it's because Dutch people usually have a bit of a modest tone when they're talking.Germans have a modest tone as well. :P
Doesn't seem like it though. They always sounds a bit aggressive or dominant to me.
Well for me too, but it only works in English and Dutch because I have no ear for if something sounds right in French and German.Yeah, you have to be quite fit in the language if you want to develope some kind of "feeling" for it.
Yep. Maybe if I had played computer games in French instead of English I might have had a feeling for it. But nonetheless I'm glad I developed my English that way instead.
I believe Bonaire and Curacao are part of the Dutch Antilles which is a part of the Lesser Antilles. Not sure though, my topography isn't that good anymore.Geography has always been my weak point. ^^
I used to be good at it in elementary school, but in high school we never really got taught anything about it. My knowledge of the map of Europe and Asia is alright I think, but don't ask me about where whatever countries lies in South America or Africa or which state is which in America =/
Oh yeah I read that in the paper some time ago. I guessed it must translate to something like: City of blablalblalblalblalblabala.Yeah, "City of Angels where" something great and awesome happened.
Lol :p

Yeah...
Well no it's probably not that bad, but Dutch TV station are really annoying when it comes to broadcasting series. They're always at least one season behind the UK and USA, they keep rewinding older episodes (especially with series like The Simpsons and South Park) and if there is an interesting series I'd like to follow it's always broadcasted on normal weekdays at 00:30 or some other unholy time.
And they're wondering why so many people here watch TV series via the internet...
Still though, I don't know if there's anything interesting for her in the Wi/Ht? (I don't think she'll be that much of a statwhore) and the only club she might join is the Vegetarian Community.Don't forget to mention about the dragon you may have told her at some point. ;)
Yeah I already told her I got a dragon buddy here. Don't think it convinced her...
No actually I should do all that before I die. Not much chance I will really come back from the dead.Yes but for now, we've got icons to work on. :P
... alright. If you insist on spending most of your summer that way. Remember that you're still young right now.
Yeah I actually got tired of Brawl and Mario Kart fairly quickly. I think that's the thing with multiplayer games, when you play them alone you will get bored with them soon. That's only for local multiplayer games. Online multiplayer games you can spend hours on such as TF2.
Oh yeah, but you can also play those online if you tell people your friend code and all. Not sure how that worked and I never cared to figure it out. I can't imagine it would've kept me interested in them for that much longer though.
Fishing quest in TP... hmm was that mandatory? I don't think it was. Or do you mean at the very beginning? Because if so then you sure gave up quickly.Haha, I went much further than that. I recall something for the Zoras. Don't tell me that was a sidequest all along.
Oh wait a minute. Yeah I probably know where you are. That part wasn't so difficult though, you could easily catch the fish you needed if you know where it was. I'm a little surprised that that's the part where you gave up, because there were other parts in the game that were more of a turn off.
Yeah I think it's waaay too expensive as well. I mean, it's mostly fun when you play with more people but you gotta invest hundreds of euros before you finally have all the instruments and none of the individual guitar hero games really have a setlist that can keep you playing for hours I think.I just wish they made more games that were specific on the music genres rather than one that caters a bit for everyone. I'd be more much satisfied with an all-metal Guitar Hero game but even that depends on what they can get.
Exactly! That's what my thought was on how to improve the series. Having specific genre's or specific era's for each game. I'd love a Classic Rock or 60's and/or 70's Guitar Hero themed game and I'm sure other people will like Metal or 90's or Pop or whatever. Everybody likes something, so you can still have a broad audience and the individual games would be much more satisfying for everyone.
... while jumping through a hoop of black mamba's on a burning motorcycle? Now that would be hardcore.Making icons and helping out for the future of Newgrounds is hardcore.
Nothing wrong with making it a little extra hardcore by adding a doze of danger to it.
No, definitely not.Speaking of Gagsy, she hasn't been here for a while now. She even took that break or whatever a few days after the meet.
She did make her 31,000th post in here.
Maybe I'll finally hear some good music on the music TV stations now. That would get me to tune in to them. I haven't even bothered with them for so long now.
Nope me neither. I can't remember the last time I watched MTV... well actually I can't remember the last time MTV broadcasted music =/

It seems like the whole wiki will make things easier for the future users who want to get their questions answered about Newgrounds (besides the wi/ht :P), that will sign up in the future. Even somewhat better than the actual FAQ, IMO.
I like how the wiki can go into detail better than the FAQ but I think we should have a generalized FAQ to stick around since I know new users are doing to search around the wiki looking how to deposit their experience.

It more just a concerted effort to get users to their site. They even have a profile on Kongergate where they dump their games on as well.

No doubt this is the best thread I've ever made on the BBS and I'm not much of a great thread maker to begin with.
Listening to:
Metallica - Garage Inc. I actually thank Haggard for getting me to get this. It's a decent set of covers and for £5, who can complain?

I believe it's your turn to try out something by listening to that Overkill song.
Where's the fun in that?Well, you don't actually hear them but only see them. It's painful to the eyes, but at least you don't have to listen to this horrible thing they call "music".
It is music whether you like it or not.
Not if they were declared that in the Guinness world records.Guinness doesn't list "the loudest band" any longer.
Maybe not but at one point in their lives, that's what they were declared as.
We can't argue on that because Motörhead are damn good! I'm looking forward to their new album. And then you will rock out again with your cock out?
Of course I will. Man, I can't believe how little of Motörhead I actually have.
Like I said, they didn't have any monitors exploding in the first place so they're lucky. And besides, what if they're using a laptop such as myself? If their laptop displays explodes they are really unlucky. Because it's not exactly easy to replace.
Good thing my laptop is immune to exploding from awesomeness.

I take it they favour crap like reality shows and soap operas? It seems every country is like this and it's a damn shame. They are nothing but cancer to television.
And they're wondering why so many people here watch TV series via the internet...
I'm not even sure if the new season of Futurama has aired in the UK yet so I've resorted to watching them on the internet. I'd watch it on TV if they released the episodes sooner and I'll buy the season box set when it comes out.
Don't forget to mention about the dragon you may have told her at some point. ;)Yeah I already told her I got a dragon buddy here. Don't think it convinced her...
If a dragon doesn't convince someone to join Newgrounds, nothing will.
Yes but for now, we've got icons to work on. :P... alright. If you insist on spending most of your summer that way. Remember that you're still young right now.
My friends aren't doing much anyway but we're still the young ones.
That's only for local multiplayer games. Online multiplayer games you can spend hours on such as TF2.Oh yeah, but you can also play those online if you tell people your friend code and all. Not sure how that worked and I never cared to figure it out. I can't imagine it would've kept me interested in them for that much longer though.
It works differently for TF2 and most computer games since all you need is the server information and you're good to go.
Haha, I went much further than that. I recall something for the Zoras. Don't tell me that was a sidequest all along.Oh wait a minute. Yeah I probably know where you are. That part wasn't so difficult though, you could easily catch the fish you needed if you know where it was. I'm a little surprised that that's the part where you gave up, because there were other parts in the game that were more of a turn off.
I just don't like fishing. And besides, that was around the time my sister borrowed the Wii for a while. After that, I just lost interest.
I may go back to the Wii since Metroid: Other M comes out next Friday and I really want to play this game. Although I never finished Metroid Prime 3, I sure as hell enjoy the franchise overall. Who knows, maybe I'll get back to Prime 3 after this or even play through the trilogy together.
I just wish they made more games that were specific on the music genres rather than one that caters a bit for everyone. I'd be more much satisfied with an all-metal Guitar Hero game but even that depends on what they can get.Exactly! That's what my thought was on how to improve the series. Having specific genre's or specific era's for each game. I'd love a Classic Rock or 60's and/or 70's Guitar Hero themed game and I'm sure other people will like Metal or 90's or Pop or whatever.
They did make an 80s Guitar Hero game and they really need to make more games like that.
Making icons and helping out for the future of Newgrounds is hardcore.Nothing wrong with making it a little extra hardcore by adding a doze of danger to it.
Icon making is hardcore enough.
Speaking of Gagsy, she hasn't been here for a while now. She even took that break or whatever a few days after the meet. She did make her 31,000th post in here.
Yes but she hasn't been here much recently. I CARE FOR HER!
That would get me to tune in to them. I haven't even bothered with them for so long now.Nope me neither. I can't remember the last time I watched MTV... well actually I can't remember the last time MTV broadcasted music =/
It must have been ages ago since they last played music. Yeah. you know a TV channel is bad when they completely forget the original purpose of themselves.

Yeah they are. I'll be seeing them live next month along with a few other viking metal bands. Well, that's if I'm permitted by the school to take the days off then.

Too bad. I'll still enjoy 14hlb's fun little game whenever I play it.
So they just randomly found Newgrounds or heard it was a site to host flash games. They don't even acknowledge the history of this site and just go and submit those flashes. It more just a concerted effort to get users to their site. They even have a profile on Kongergate where they dump their games on as well.
That explains a lot. I don't even go to Kongregate so I wouldn't even know who uploads their flashes there.
Too bad. At least we're rocking out to Motörhead. It's a shame there was no video of that. You would have thought some one might have brought a camera to record it.
I thought someone did but I don't know who it was. Maybe it was never recorded in the first place. :( Next meet up, we need our karaokes recorded.

I've seen house - there was the one episode when Dr. Foreman was having a brain operation and House hijacked the operation to carry on himself. Foreman was pissed off
"House, get out of my brain!"
Lol, I see :p Still, I think the Benny Hill theme will be more suitable.Everlong? Doesn't seem fitting for a scene where people are whacking each other with giant orange hands. The part of the video where Grohl grows his hands huge and starts whacking the bad guys (Franz Stahl & Nate Mendel), in an attempt to save his girlfriend (A decidedly effeminate looking Taylor Hawkins)
Ah, the genius that was Benny Hill chasing after semi-naked girls while that lovely piece of saxophone plays.
Wait, there's a TV series of that movie? 0.0Go watch it then. I'm pretty sure you'll like it. Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels is another good one from the same director.Meh, I preferred the TV series, to be honest.
Yeah, it was better than the film.
Where does your beard grow decently then? On your eyebrows? =/I can't grow hair there - it just doesn't seem to want to take.Yes, but only if you grow a Lincoln beard. At 8/21/10 06:45 AM, Coop83 wrote:At 8/20/10 05:13 PM, Auz wrote:
