Or maybe Suarez should've been banned for all the remaining matches this WC. I think measures like that would discourage players a lot more to cheat themselves into victory. Although perhaps not in Suarez case as they would've been eliminated anyway, but if you take Henry's case he might have thought twice about it...
Yes action needs to be taken. It is a bit hypocritical to promote fair play so much, but leave these cases with such a lame punishment.
Maybe it did, considering it was fairly close yesterday with 3-2 on the scoreboard :pI still think you guys were too strong. I personally didn't agree with my dad's summary that van Bronkhorst's goal was goal of the tournament. I'm still behind Shabalala's opener, because he ran a long way for it and still had the control to slot it in the top corner from 20 years.
Those two are definitely the best goals of this WC so far. I think Bronkhorst's goal was slightly more beautiful due to the accuracy of the shot, but Shabalala's was indeed very nice too since he ran such a long way and still managed to pull off a great and powerful shot at the goal (very difficult if you just took a long sprint).
For the rest I haven't actually seen that many beautiful goals this tournament. I think Forlan had a few nice ones, but they were mostly deflected shots and keeper mistakes so... =/
I see. Well what Ferguson did can happen I suppose, if a coach is really pissed (although he should keep calm). But whining to referees is a bit sad.Whining about referees to the media is even worse. Both of these managers practice it.
Yeah it is sad like I said. There is a seldom a case where a game is really decided by a bad referee. In most cases you were just the worser team that day, and as a coach I think you should admit that. Especially if you are among the top coaches in the world.
Never heard of Brian Clough by the way."Old Big 'ead" was the best manager ever to grace English football. He had loads of memorable quotes, such as "I wouldn't say I was the best manager in the business, but I'd say I was in the top one."
Hahaha XD I read that he managed to make Derby County a premier division club, won the title with them and also won the champions league Nottingham Forest. He also had some lesser years, but those are some amazing achievements with second division clubs.
