I'll be on Haggards side in this battle ;)
About halfway between the two of us, but less reason to hate Germany :P Have you guys got nose bleeds yet from doing so well at the finals?
Nose bleeds? :p
From getting so high (far) in the finals. We all know that the Netherlands suck in International competitions, save for their two appearances in the final in the 70s. Failed to qualify seven times, didn't make it past the group stages twice and fell at the second round twice. That's in 16 attempts. You have quite a weight of expectation on the team and you would expect them to do better, with the calibre of players that have worn orange.
You're right there. Holland always has a great team on paper, but seldom does well. To be honest, I think the same goes for England. Beside their win 1966 they have never gotten anywhere further than the fourth place in 1990 and their EC record isn't that impressive either (mostly not qualifying or being eliminated in the group stage).
No the real cupfighters are Italy, Argentina, Germany and Brazil.
I don't know, I guess I just like to see the English go down. Maybe because your media and the English supporters always make such a big drama out of it ;)
I'd like to see us win - that's part of the fun of being patriotic through sport.
Yeah obviously, I like to see Holland win too but I'm not as patriotic over it as most people are. The English appear to be the worst though, judging from the WC topic in the general forum.
Also, I want a chance for us to avenge ourselves for 1986 against Maradona. But, then again, I'd also like to see the Mexicans roll the Argies over - they've been the most positive team so far this year.
No chances to avenge yourself anymore.
It was one of the most enjoyable games of the tourney so far in my opinion. Too bad about that referee fucking up. The game might have been much more interesting if it became 2-2, but Germany deserved the win nonetheless. At least in my opinion.

Yep, it is the level icon of Death. If that doesn't make it awesome, nothing will.
Indeed. Nothing more awesome than the Grim Reaper himself.
Actually, I'm sure dragons are more awesome than the Grim Reaper but that's just an opinion and sadly we have no level icons relating to dragons.
Nope, but dragons don't really use weapons do they? Maybe you could have a dragon blade/lance though.
You're forgiven. I don't think I said it yet but thanks for voting me for Best Poster.
You're welcome :)
And now it's the waiting game. They said the voting thread will close on Wednesday but I get the feeling it'll be a day or two earlier.
Yeah it's been quiet there for a while now. Haven't checked the votes for a while either, so no idea if I won (with the current standings). I'll just keep it a surprise.
Isn't American breakfast like British breakfast except greasier? =/
Pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast is awesome though, although I'm not sure if that's typically American.
I always related it to America and not once have I seen it being considered as a breakfast over here.
Hmm maple syrup comes mostly from Quebec apparently, so yeah typically American.
Wtf? I don't even see the point in reviewing cereal. And not liking food because of its shape is not even a legitimate reason... =/
Indeed, his breakfast rants was just a horrible take on James Rolfe's You Know What's Bullshit videos.
Never heard of him.
I don't know that many internet personalities I guess. I know the Angry Video Game Nerd and The Spoony One (and some of his friends), but that's about it.
Oh yes I read that rant some time ago. I just searched for his Tekken 6 review, but I mostly get people bashing his review XD
Yep, enough people were able to see through his bullshit.
I guess so. Strange how so many people are following him or are still watching his reviews. I mean even without the bullshit, he doesn't seem like such an exciting guy =/
So I guess you were right, he hardly plays the games he reviews which is indeed terrible.
And that's why the majority of gamers HATE him!
Rightfully so. I don't get why he does it that way. I mean, I assume he will play those games to the end eventually, so why not wait until then before you review something? Or otherwise you could at least say you're giving a few early thoughts and come back to them later, instead of passing those early thoughts off as a review.
Don't think I'd rather be an American, but it would be sweet if the office was somewhere in Europe :)
I wouldn't mind America. It's probably in a better state than the UK right now.
Yes I've been hearing bad things about the UK lately, but I believe every country is claiming that they are going to shit at the moment. We got a lot of whiners in Holland as well right now, and unfortunately people like Geert Wilders (extreme right wing) are taking advantage of the situation.
There was an Amsterdam meet in 2009 by the way, but I haven't heard much about it.
Yeah, maybe you need to lurk more in the General forum. Well, there's the meet ups wiki that should tell you the upcoming meets so that's another page to keep an eye on.
I've been around more in the general lately, but wasn't around much yet in 2009 I guess. Also I tend to ignore huge general forum topics for some reason.
But yeah that would be far fetched. I wouldn't know what else though.
Maybe it's because I'm a dragon. :P
I never heard anything from the NG staff that would imply they are dragon fans, but maybe they are :)
