I have finally earned a hard worked for gold whistle!! On to deity I go.
This is my 1000th post. I'll use it to come in here and announce that I just made Staff Sergeant (6000 B/P). I expect this will be my last post in this thread for quite a while, as I'm planning an extended break from the site in not too long, though I may make it to the top 1000 B/P when the stats refresh overnight. In which case, consider this post to also announce that, in case it happens.
Deploy the... it's a yellow button... it's usually flashing... it makes the engines go... whoosh!
Whoa whoa WHOA, what have I been doing? :O
OK, the last time that I posted in here was around March. But I could've caught up here in the middle of April, when I created the .txt file with part of the catch-ups.
Right, I never touched it again. Until now...
HOWEVER, most of the things that I had written there were pretty obsolete, that it wouldn't make sense to post them. Thus, I deleted the entire file. Restarting everything.
Anyway, new .rtf file (not .txt anymore), catch up streak continue!
What I achieved over the past two (three?) months:
Not everything, it isn't necessary to post 12k and 13k saves :P
12,000 Blams;
13,000 Saves;
Level 33;
Commander
40000 Total Points;
Total VP 11.00;
Top 1,000 Exp
Top 200 B/P
To sum up - a bunch of stuff.
NEAT!
Now... I still have to catch up on some older Auz posts that I had been skipping even though I was still posting regularly. BEGIN:

Great, but the problem is that I'll need to do some manual work consisting of "colon-space adding, copy-pasting quotes, more colon-space adding." :P
I really think the Wi/Ht could use a longer character limit per post. Like... 10,000 characters?
At 3/16/10 05:09 PM, Sir-Nuts wrote: Break-outs aren't more difficult to happen. Despite being crowded, they won't hesitate in shooting whoever tries to leave.Heh, yeah it's not like they can go anywhere I guess. If they leave they'll get shot so... For the police it's just a matter of waiting until they give up.
But yeah, once a year or so we see riots where the prisoners take over the place and start demanding things, such as the liberation of certain prisoners (like "bosses" of drug dealing). They either give up or the police represses them, and their penalty is extended.
Indeed, they could just wait until the riot cools down, but they often hold whoever works in the prisons as hostages. Those are the tension moments, because they can't just shoot them out of nowhere, and there's the necessity of negotiating with the prisoners, which isn't a easy job. :/
I don't really remember, I haven't studied the history of the Portuguese language. All I know is that it's a variant of a region in Spain. Maybe Spain was more connected with Portugal?Well Spain and Portugal are neighbors so... :p Still doesn't explain why you guys speak some Greek though. Is it Basques (or whatever that language is called) what you guys speak by the way?
Still, the majority of terms are Latin, some are Greek.
Actually, since I wrote this, my Portuguese / Literature teacher began to teach us the history of the Portuguese language. Here's why we have some Greek therms in our language:
When the Roman empire (Latin-speakers) conquered Greeks, they didn't "erase" their culture, which was really vast and fascinating. Instead, they incorporated is to their culture, including art, lifestyle and their language!
Thus, pretty much any country that has a Latin-derivative language is likely to have Greek therms in their language as well. CONGRATS, YOU GOT AN A IN PORTUGUESE HISTORY. :)
Oh, and I think Basques is spoken in the North of Spain, as a secondary language, I think. Two of my friends lived in there for a few months, and they recently came back. :)
Nah, not really. The two major countries would be Brazil and Portugal, with some countries in Africa, but none in South America. There are fewer than 300,000,000 lusophonics, I'm sure.I thought you guys would have way more inhabitants than that, considering the size of your country.
Brazil is nearing 200 million right now.
That's a good guess, but you'd have to consider that we have large forests (the rain forest is OURS, not world-patrimony!), and we still have large farms and stuff.
Or are you guys like Australia and China, where the majority of the people lives along the coast? I bet there aren't many people living in the rain forests at least...
That's true, but hey, I live in the middle of nowhere (check the map :P) and there's about 3mi people living around here. More history lessons ahead:
Back in the 1700 / 1800s, there were plenty of expeditions to the West of Brazil, to gain more territory and, mainly, find gold. This "Western march" created some major cities in the middle of Brazil. Although where I live was a plan during the 50s to move the capital to the middle of Brazil. :)
And our neighbours speak mostly Spanish, with the exception of French (French Guiana), English (Guyana) and Dutch (Suriname). See, you can live in South America if you want to. :)Haha yes I could go live in Suriname if I want to. I know many people in Holland wouldn't mind living there, due to the much better weather they have. Plus the Suriname people always seem way more relaxed and happy than we are.
Wait, what's the difference between calling Holland and Netherlands?
Well, if you know English, you can survive pretty much anywhere. :PWhen I go to France on a holiday, it's still difficult though. Most French people just don't want to speak or learn English. Mainly the older generation doesn't understand a word you say. The younger generations do learn English now, but they don't seem to like you much if you start talking to them in English =/
Yeah, I'm starting to learn why this happens now. Basically, they used to fight.
A lot. :P
I have been taught a little bit of French myself fortunately , but just enough to be able to order a sandwich or ask which way I have to go :p
My dad used to have French classes, but he has forgot most of it, due to lack of usage. And he has forgot part of his English as well, thus he relies on me to translate so things to him, heh.
I'm still thinking whether or not I should learn a third language...You speak English and Portuguese right? Well like you said, if you speak English you could go almost anywhere. In your case it might be handy to learn some Spanish though, if most of your neighboring countries speak Spanish. Unless of course you never go there and never meet any tourists.
Also, I was thinking of working as a tourist guide during the 2014 World Cup, since my town will be one of the hosts. Maybe I should take some Spanish classes, since there should be lots of Spanish-speaking people around here by then.
And yeah, I have yet to visit some of our neighbour countries, mainly Uruguay and Argentina. My grandparents go there a few times during the year, maybe I can convince them to bring me during of of these trips. :)
--Time for some quoting-pasta. :P--
Oh, and my dad wrote a mini-article for the newspaper that got published regarding the governor's situation. In his words, "Federal intervention NOW!". I think it's his third article in the newspaper. :)
So your Dad is some kind of journalist? Cool! Was it for a big newspaper?
Not really, he's graduated in Civil Engineering, but he works as some kind of high-ranked manager in the post-office social security (I don't know exactly what he does :P).
However, he has a great critic sense, and often writes mini-articles for the biggest local newspaper. I think it's the third time he had something published... He doesn't get anything for that, aside from having his words published. :P
Well, I'm afraid of our next govern... The right wing candidate is ahead in the pre-voting polls, but the left wing is closing the gap... maybe it's because our current president (left party) brings his candidate EVERYWHERE to help her campaign. That's cheating. :PLol. So the president is like... promoting the next left party's candidate? :p Yeah that is indeed unfair towards the other parties.
Indeed, and the hole got even bigger in the past months... :(
Our president had to pay some fines due to that (nothing huge, more like a warning). And now, there's the speculation that there are spies among the parties, working for the other party! :O
At least the candidate I'm voting for has nothing to do with that scandal. :)
Whahahahaha, so sometimes they're not even there? :p Kinda makes me wonder why they became politicians in the first place. Sounds like they're only in it for the money and the power.Sure, isn't that obvious? :P
Some of them only show up when they want to, make those "pre-made speeches" and travel somewhere else. SUUUUURE...
Haha so they're actually on vacation most days of the year? :p
Sort of. I'm afraid most of them won't show up to work during the world cup. They even wanted to vote a project that would extend their vacations during the wc, I think.
Isn't it abusive? =(
Really? Arrested for not voting?
Yep. Seems to the case in quite a bunch of countries all across the world actually. Not sure which one of them actually throw people in jail for not showing up, but seems like even in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Australia you will have to vote if you are allowed to.
Come to think of it, I think the same thing happens in here. If you don't vote, then you have to justify why you didn't vote. If you don't justify / don't have an apparent reason to not have voted, then you get a fine. If you don't pay that fine, then I THINK you go arrested, and have to pay a fine when you leave. :P
Also, some politicians try to buy votes from the more poor classes, and for really low prices. We usually see some getting caught, but who knows how many have "escaped" with that?Lol. Well if I was poor I'd probably take the money as well. I mean there are probably not many fair politicians standing up for the poor people right?
Yeah, but still it's unfair for the ones who don't take it, right?

Indeed, but it would be interesting to see if he/she would have skills in doing so. Depends on how he/she would be raised, etc...
Hmm, so Tim Burton twisted the story, eh? I'm willing to see it now, I'll check whenever it's in the movies...No, no. It's actually supposed to be a sequel to the books. Alice is now 19 instead of 7 and goes back to Wonderland to find out it's been taken over by the Red Queen. I'm just saying some elements Tim Burton added do not fit the books that well. The books are really not that serious you know, so fighting scenes and all that...
There are fighting scenes? O_o
Alice in Wonderland is already a pretty twisted story, and that just turns it weirder. Anyway, I'll have to wait until it's in the DVDs, thus I'll watch it in regular HD, instead of 3D. :)
Well, maybe they'll lower the prices when 3D cinema becomes more popular... right? It's already becoming more and more popular, but it seems to me like the cinema's now have a good excuse to cash in on some extra money. Because for most people it's still new and mindblowing and all that, so they'll go to the cinema anyway.
Indeed, and there are more and more movies coming out in 3D. MILK MORE CASH FROM US, WE'LL TAKE IT. >:(
Although they're also releasing "normal" versions along with them, I think only Alice and Avatar were 3D exclusives in here. Maybe because not all cinemas have the 3D technology, I guess...
Whenever my friends want to go to watch a movie, we just stay at the mall, have lunch and wait until it starts. :)Yeah I wish I could do that as well, but like I said, on the island I live there is not a single cinema. We have to go to Rotterdam which is at least a 20 minutes drive so... it's not like we will just go there if we are bored or something.
But I think there aren't subscriptions in here. Individual tickets only.
...And I just realised that the Netherlands consist of many separate islands. I swear I didn't know about that. :P
I liked GH Metallica, I don't care whenever someone says that a band sold out. As long as their music is enjoyable...Yeah it sounds a bit like whining because they're starting to become popular among the masses which die-hard fans don't like. But indeed, as long as their music is still good, why complain?
Also, their concerts are amazing. :)
Yeah, this happens a lot with some bands. Whenever they become popular, they automatically become "sellouts, making music for the money" etc... The same thing happened to Green Day when they released their best known album, "Dookie". But we all know what is Green Day today because of that album...
Although Green Day became pretty shitty lately. Either way, they'll play a concert in here in October, and I should go there. :)
And yeah I've heard their concerts were really good as well.
Metallica's concerts are great, not only for the music, but also for the effects. For example, during "One", the stage becomes some kind of battlefield, with a bunch of fireworks for explosions. :)
Really? Wow, now that's pretty weird, since they have a bad-ass reputation... playing in a pop festival? O_oWeird isn't it? The bands that usually play there are bands like The Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, The Kooks, but also pop artists like Pink, Amy McDonald, Katy Perry etc.
I'd like to go there one day, then. :P Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, Franz Ferdinand and The Killers are among my favourite bands, I'd wear pink to see them. :P
It's really not a hardrock or heavy metal festival at all. Although they had Volbeat last year and this year they've managed to get Rammstein =/
Even Rammstein? That's far from being pop... o_O
... And here's part three of Auz's replies, along with the beginning of the "actual" catch up...
1 dollar = 1.76 reais. So 150,00 reais = 85 dollars. That's still a lot indeed for the cheapest ones. The cheapest seats at the U2 concert last summer were only 30 euros I believe, which equals about 45 dollars at the moment I think.
Which would be about R$80,00 in here. I'd definitely pay that to see U2 in here. :)
And 40 reais for Muse is about 25 dollars then? That's really cheap man :p I'm sure they'd ask way more than 16 euros here.
Indeed, that was way cheap. It was a festival, though, and they weren't that famous in here (2008 - before the whole Twilight thing). It was an amazing concert, though, and I was very close to the stage. :)
Speaking of Twilight, their new song BLOWS. What has Twilight done to them? :(
I know there's a reference to him in a Pink Floyd song in The Wall. It's a hidden backwards message in "Empty Spaces", I think.Haha I just looked it up on Youtube. This is indeed a clear case of a hidden message, but is Old Pink a reference to Syd Barrett then? I also listened to the full song backwards and something else seems to be said after the message, but I can't really hear what it says.
Yeah, he's the "Old Pink". I think someone calls him after that and the message is cut.
Either way, it's well hidden. :P
Well, they should get over their differences and make a small reunion... Not only they would revive their old days, but the crowd would be sold-out, wherever they played at.Definitely. If they came to Holland then I'd definitely try to get some tickets for it, and I know plenty of people who would do anything to get there as well.
If they played in here, my cousin would go, no matter what. He's an avid fan of Pink Floyd, even more than my dad. ^^
I'm not sure... Since Matthew Bellamy LOVES conspiracy theories, it might have to do something with it. HAARP is a target for many conspiracy theories, including nuclear weapons related. :PNever heard of it before, but sounds plausible to me. Their music always seems a bit.. anti-government-ish for some reason.
The songs in Black Holes and Revelations have some political message behind them, in the thoughts of making a revolution and criticizing the government. I think there are some like that as well in Resistance, but I don't really like that album and I haven't listened to it a lot to think about that. :P
Who knows... they had a small orchestra in their previous album, anything is possible! They seem like the kinda band that would do such a thing. Aren't they getting a lot of inspiration out of classical music?
They had a 15-minute song (split in three) that was orchestrated in their latest album, so I'll think yes. :P
I think that's correct, although I've seen Bellamy smoking with Slash in a video. Anyway, I think they don't do any hard drugs. Maybe just the regular alcohol / cigarette.Hehe that's gonna ruin his voice someday :p
Too bad he smokes, though. :(
Hopefully it'll be just like Mick Jagger. :P

Ah, I still think Sonata is awesome. I still hope that they'll play in here one day. :)I'd like to see them live too but only if they don't play too much of their latest album. Most of it was forgettable to me.
Indeed, if they ever come in here, I hope they play mostly their older stuff, maybe up to the "For the Sake of Revenge" DVD, it gets blurry for me after that.
You know, considering the poll results in their website, where about 30% voted for the end of the Character Battles (given five options, that is), I think they'll try to change it this time (if there is a next one). Here's hoping but they'll just consider the other 70%. However, maybe they'll say no to joke "characters" from now on.
Speaking of which, are you going to hold a mini "non-characters" battle?
It's hard to say since I'm only 6 hours in (yeah, I'm slow) and the remakes have so much more added to them. Original Silver I must have played for a total of 300 hours. At 3/26/10 11:30 AM, Bahamut wrote: I have Pokemon SoulSilver! :DAwesome! Is it really better than the original one?

Radio is fine for listening to music, whether it's music you already know or not... but to truly delve into individual artists deeply, nothing beats diving into an album on your own instead of listening piecemeal from someone else playing a track or two or the radio playing only scattered singles...
Indeed. Recently a rock-only radio station began transmitting in my town (late last year), and they actually play a lot of decent songs in there that even made me find out more about an artist, such as Dio (RIP), U2, Pink Floyd (they played Dogs one day - 18 minutes! On the radio!!)... Now my dad turns it on every weekend on his good ol' receiver as a wake up for everyone, heh. :P
But yeah, it's way better to buy the albums than to just listen to singles on the radio/TV etc...

Well sorry. I guess I just think that after level 46 you've pretty much had all the awesome icons. There's still a few between 50 and 60 I like, but overall I just prefer the early 40's.Yep. 42, 43, 44, 45 = the best 4 NG level icons in a row, 30-level-system or 60-level-system, either way...
While that, I'm stuck on the double-shurikens. :(
At least level 35 is great.

Sweet. Although my dad is probably older than yours (he's 50 now), his musical ''era'' was a bit earlier. He's more fond of 60's/70's music. However, I think he has a tape (yeah, a tape!) with ''Joshua Tree'' in it. I don't know if it works or not, though.Your dad kicks ass.

Scratch that, you have to post at least once every season!
Summer (for you) is almost there, time to get it ready!
And to be honest, I'm not that much of a big fan of ''Nuts'' anymore either. I mean... when I hear people calling me Nuts in TF2 in their mics, it feels so... childish. Even if the meaning is balls, mad or nuts itself, it sounds weird.Well, then... come up with a new nickname on Steam, then. O_o
But then I'd feel that I should switch it in here as well, which is unlikely.
Either way, I'll keep it since I haven't any better ideas.kk. Just make sure to tell Bahamut and myself if you do change it, so we'll know who to look for in a TF2 game. #;-}>
Also, I don't have any decent ideas for a new name. Plus, no one else is called "Nuts" itself, they often add some silly thing along with NuTzzz.
Now that's silly. :P
Makes sense. I use notepad for catching up as well, but I usually type everything in the NG posting box itself before organizing everything in notepad.Nah, I type straight into notepad. If my browser crashes (due to all the fucking tabs open in it), my shit's gone if I typed it there. Safer to type in notepad directly.
I often rely on Firefox's tab recovery. Which tends to fail sometimes. :(
Although I've changed my catch up "technique": now I type part of my catch up in the NG posting box and copy it to WordPad (not notepad anymore), while paying attention to the 8,000ish character limit. If I reach that, I'll add a "_________" to split every post.
And it's WAY BETTER. ^^
But yeah, I scroll through posts, read part of them and CLICK THEM LINKS! :)I don't want to click the links till I'm done posting, and when I'm done posting, I don't want to go back several pages to find the links I passed over. So the only way I end up looking at links is if they're recent links. #;-}>
But what if the link was really relevant to the post itself? Would it make no sense after you posted? :P

Heh, too bad I wasn't a big fan at the time of the concert, I knew mostly things from BH&R, and only a few more known songs.
Even though they might not come back here anytime soon... they said they didn't really like playing here, apparently they almost died in Rio de Janeiro, I think.Ooops. O_o
Well, I'm sure they'll be back here in Houston in a few years, but the problem is that I mostly want to hear stuff from Absolution and Black Holes live, and the more time goes by the more albums there are between the present and those two albums... so there'll be less and less songs from those two albums played at future Muse concerts. ;_;
Hey, they are playing in Austin, can you go there?
And yeah, Absolution and Black Holes are their best albums. At least in their next tour they shouldn't play too much from "Resistance", hopefully their next album will be better...
Well, maybe they should hold a $1 sale. =)$2.50 was close enough. I just wish they'd do it again... I want an extra copy for fooling around with/getting achievements again with...
Oh, and free weekend + Mac users now on TF2... I don't know if I should postpone this catch up to play it or not... Probably not, considering the amount of OS wars over the servers. Yeah, I'll skip this free weekend. ;P
only problem with an extra copy would be if it magically got one of the 2-4 hats I really really want on my main account.... like 1 day after starting it... and then I'd be sad, since there's no trading (yet?).
Maybe it'll come out on the Engie update...?
Indeed! Catching up in January is tough, there's so much snow/sun for everyone! Not here. No sun nor snow. Had some snow in December, though.
Ah, at least you had snow. I've yet to know what snow is, physically. ;_;
Sure, but it made you think more before rushing recklessly into the enemies' base. This is why I enjoy the Arena maps in TF2 :)It's fun now and then, but I tend to play CTF most, then a bit of Att/Def and Payload. A bit of regular CP, too, but ehhhh...
Indeed. Although I'd rather play PL maps and CP maps, mainly Hydro, the often overlooked map is actually one of my favourites. (yeah, I consider Hydro to be a CP map, since TC... well, it would be the only map in that style...)

Heh. :P
And here's an odd thing - I play mainly on international server not because of the local servers, but because of the local players. I don't know why, but whenever I join a Brazilian server, I get someone trolling / flaming / doing overall shit; Unlike the international ones that I play into. :)
Also, I hate the spelling / pronunciation errors some of them commit. They say some names as if they were written in Portuguese. For example, a Demoman could become a "Demomâin", a Spy "schpAi", a Pyro "Pie and so on. :P
Anyway, try my low-grav 2fort server, my 2nd server after No Heroes CTF, my 1st server. I don't think it has a ping limit, plus people from Europe and Russia and Australia play there a lot, I wonder how your ping would be from Brasil.... it's in Texas, near me, instead of NYC, it might be a bit better as it's closer to you... just a bit.
Maybe, yeah... Some American servers that I play in have a ~180 ping, and they are in Dallas or Austin, I think. Care to join me for a match on them, someday? :P
Also, I think the perfect servers would be the ones in Florida, since they're the closest state to Brazil. I've yet to find one. ^^

Meh, Land of Confusion is alright, but not their best, IMO. I really like Invisible Touch, Home By The Sea, Domino and some other huge songs they have.

Luckily the cars are a lot safer than they where some years ago, so even if there's a huge crash almost nobody gets hurt in it.
When I actually watch a race, I try watching it as a whole, not only the first and final laps. While I do some other things during the race, I still keep focus on it.
What sucks is that most races (European ones) start at 9:00AM in here, and I'm not very used to wake up early at weekends, so I end up just catching the end of the race. :(

Demoman has made me saying that quote more and more.Despite hating Demomen in general, I think that one of the best TF2 quotes.
I don't hate any TF2 classes but Snipers can be really annoying at times as well as Soldier's crit rockets.
I'd like to see them live too but only if they don't play too much of their latest album. Most of it was forgettable to me.Indeed, if they ever come in here, I hope they play mostly their older stuff, maybe up to the "For the Sake of Revenge" DVD, it gets blurry for me after that.
Unia wasn't a bad album. It was different but still good. The Days of Grays, though, it feels like a huge step back from all the previous works.
Here's hoping but they'll just consider the other 70%. However, maybe they'll say no to joke "characters" from now on.Speaking of which, are you going to hold a mini "non-characters" battle?
I have two special contests planned before the third main contest. The first one should be sometime soon!
It's hard to say since I'm only 6 hours in (yeah, I'm slow) and the remakes have so much more added to them. Original Silver I must have played for a total of 300 hours.Heh, I still play my original Pokemon Silver sometimes... I wonder if I'll ever buy a more modern (not better :P) hand-held console. I was thinking of buying a PSP over a DS, I think the games for the PSP are better...
Your Silver cartridge still works? Supposedly the battery that operates the clock will be expired for just about every G/S/C cartridge by now. This and the fact that GB/GBC games are really hard to play these days without a decent handheld console for them are why I really wanted SoulSilver and it was a great game.
Also, what is that new DS...? An upgrade or more Nintendo crap?
You mean the 3DS? It's a brand new console and shows dramatic changes. However, I think they're too obsessed with 3D effects.
OK, just as long as you WILL get them done tomorrow. If not, you know what will happen.I hope I never get that kind of pressure when I'm catching up. O___O

Although I'll join it when there are a little less than 1800 EGSCs. Great!
That'll be in 2030. :P

This. What a mess the referee has made. 9th inning, and the guy is SAFE?
I actually think that instant replays should be added after this. And maybe to football as well.
Though as much as I hate that call I don't think we need replay for it. It was just a fluke.

I'm sure others will want to go to the home of The Beatles someday as well which is why I think something can be arranged here. However, if I was the one organising it, I'd think it'd be best if I met a NGer beforehand so they can confirm a trustworthy meet. I've never been to meets before so it'll look strange if I arranged one myself.Possible Liverpool meet?Liverpool meet?
I'm not UK'er and don't care much for meets in general, so don't expect to see me there. Although I would love to go to the home of The Beatles someday.
I suppose you gotta suggest places to go to, places to meet up etc.. Requires some organizing and I agree it might be best if you did it with someone who's more experienced with NG meets.
I don't remember Bahamut ZERO being gold or anything. No but I still have my blue aura and that's what counts! Being a gold dragon would make me much heavier. :PYes, but you could be like... Bahamut-ZERO! Or something.

Oh come on, you have been around here for half a decade, won most underrated twice in a row and are about to get nominated for a third, made it into the Wi/Ht?-members, are (probably) recognized in most forums you regularly visit (and not in a negative way)... No reason to doubt yourself ;)

Also, Argentina impressed with their second match, so they are back in business. I really hope Greece loses against Argentina and the winner of the match Nigeria - South Korea can go on to the next round. I really don't like Greece. ^^
Yeah, in Holland the press was also blamed for bombing them #1 favorites after their group stage. That might have caused their loss in the quarter-finals against Russia, or so they say.
Argentina impressed in their second match indeed, although they were a bit lucky. Germany... did not impress :p But like I said in the WC topic, they only need a 1-0 victory against Ghana and they'll be group winners.

German TV interviewed Mr. Lucas. The last question was: "Can you say the most famous quote form the movies, please?" and Lucas replied "May the force be with you."
But the guy who translated it for german TV was really confused and he thought Lucas said "May the 4th, (we'll) be with you" so he translated that. ^^

I quite liked the Ninja Gaiden review as he also focused on the game and all the "training" he did was to beat the game. He also found the right mix between game scenes and "training" scenes, imo.

Looking back now after a few hours I don't blame the team, but I blame the coach.
The team did create some good chances but they where either unlucky or in case of Podolski too selfish (there where two or three situations where he should've just passed the ball but instead he took the shot himself). But I've seen much worse performances from Germany already.
What I blame the coach for is that he didn't react during half time. He should've replaced Badstuber or positioned him somewhere else on the field.
He also should've brought Cacau on for the second half and not when the second half was already half over again.
Well, I hope Podolski doesn't play against Ghana and that the team will show a much better performance.
Problem with Ghana is, that they are so hard to predict. One day they beat every other team, the next day they'll lose against every team...
