Which features are you talking about? To my knowledge ICQ supports chat rooms (you can invite multiple users into it) and of course chatting between two users. Which are about the only things a client should support, imo. ^^

If you had the real MSN and AIM programs, you'd know what you're missing out on.

Well, we study in semesters here, one semester (no surprises) lasts for half a year. The summer semester usually is from April to July and the winter semester lasts from October to February.

That's a little bit vague to me in the sense that I wouldn't really know exactly what job you could have in a company. Could you also be running the website and such, like an admin? That would be the first thing that comes to my mind.

Yes, I could run a website, but it's not what I want to do. I have coded some websites already and it's a pain in the ass to always keep in mind to code for all the different browsers out there. Especially the Internet Explorer seems to interpret HTML in a very special way...

Most exams here are just 100% of your grade :p You either pass or fail the subject based on that one exam, no exceptions. Projects are usually separated from the courses, but they're not so hard to pass. They're just a lot of work.

For me a typical upper division Econ course grade scale consisted of Midterm 1 30%, Midterm 2 Final 30%, and 10% Misc. For like the general Econ course (they type they force everyone to take) is the same except you took Three Midterms and they would drop the lowest one. Each college is different but typically this is common for most courses.

I'm not sure which system I'd prefer. Yours sounds more relaxing because if you got a good grade for that 70% already you won't even have to bother with the exam.

That has only happen to me once where I didn't have to even have a passing score on the Final; Physics II. I just had to score a 44% and still keep my B or score something like a 97% to get an A.

I see. Sounds a bit like how it goes in highschool here. You just get a couple of tests that account for a certain percentage of your grade and then they take the average at the end of the year.

For most courses relating to your major you have to get above a C grade or else you have to retake it. For your electives you can take a D but that won't do much good for your GPA.

Yeah it was my last final of the semester and I did decent on it, I want to say I got a 77% which gave me a B overall. The professor was a new one, so he was super easy on the grading.

Hypothetically if one was born to me this year, it would be Coop10. I know it would technically be Coop110 or Coop2010, but then I'd have to change my name to Coop1983, which I don't feel like doing.
