Oh you'll probably have plenty of time then. I believe generally uni-people earn about 30k per year max when they just start working. So I suppose you'll still have a couple of years before you have to start paying back, and once you do you got a decent salary already.

Yeah same with me, but I believe I'm on the high side for an engineering studies. Most engineers and researchers would probably earn a little lower on average, and arts/language studies generally don't earn that much either. I think some of the business and medical studies earn most in the first years. They'd probably go over that 30k, but for the rest 30k is a lot for most.

But can't you just take a cheap student loan then? I suppose that if you go working in the summer, get some money from your parents and loan a bit you could gather enough money to make it for another year.

I really don't want to take another loan. I'm not too happy with the loan I already have (but I didn't wanted to sponge off my parents more than I already do) so yet another loan is out of the question for me.
Luckily I shouldn't take too long to finish my studies anyway. Only problem is, I really don't know where I should apply for a job if I graduate. ^^

I suppose you could sent a letter to some major companies in your field. Otherwise I'm sure you could find something in papers and on the internet.

Well that's the difference between users like you and users like us. (classifying almost every one of us in this thread that make lists) We do it because we generally love the site and would help in anyway possible. I'm sure the rest of the guys here would agree exactly with what I'm saying.

If everyone actually watched them and voted based on that, they would have a score of 0.10...

If you think about it more people would be flagging reviews. They could flag whatever they want without anything negative happening to their whistles. The whistle system actually produces a honest marking system since there is a punishment if you abusive it.

It's perfect the way it is.

By the way, I mark abusive reviews almost every single day. Some days I'll even go looking for them.

That's insane. The minimum for full time in the US for most colleges is 12 hours while the max is about 18 hours.

That is true but there is no telling when they will get everything working. I think the major hurdle for Rob is that the Art Thumbnails are bigger than 46x46 so it won't fit in the Review boxes. Something like that could mean several more months of work.

Once they implemented that, it may become easier to update the stat. On top of that you're probably gonna find some new users soon, so if you would post the list right now you might have to make a lot of changes later.

Also that is true but it's not like it going to be this week or next that such a thread will be created. I was just curious would such a thread be wanted.Trust me, every time I search the Art Portal I spot someone who I haven't found before so it's far from complete, especially the bottom half. ;)

I poked around the users in the Art Forum Lounge, Art Portal Patrol Club, etc.; they really don't review much. I really not sure they will be interested in such a topic and not to mention that when you post a new topic you have to post a pic. :P

I have found that it's the artist themselves who do most of the heavy reviewing so I might have to dig some more there.

Currently I have found 110 users who have 60+ Art Reviews. The 100th user has 68 Reviews. I'm not quite sure how many profiles I have to look at for this list to be statistically significant but I have been through about 2400 of them in the past three days.

A paragraph earlier it was "whoever is voting" now it's "some users". I don't vote 5 on everything. I have over 14k blams, and there are days where I get more blams than saves.

The whistle is an incentive to flag, sure. But we can't see how many whistle points we have, we don't know how many succesfully flagged reviews and flashes it needs to level up your whistle. Why do you think the system is that way? So we can't brag about our whistle points, but to flag mostly to get rid of abusive reviews/flashes.

I've got my deity whistle quite some time ago (must have been at least over two years ago...) and I still flag abusive reviews when I see them.

By the way, just out of curiosity, why didn't you include me in the "congrats to" list? :(

Resits are in September/October most of the time. But I know what you mean. It's hard to study for exams if the weather is too good. ^^

Your evidence is circumstantial at best. Some people use proxies and other nefarious methods to get their pieces through.

Since I'm the most qualified to answer this, quite a few - we haven't seen much of an increase in the number of flagged reviews since the days when people were trying to be the only Deity user and the only Gold user.

As far as I'm aware, it's not going to happen - we will see a number of Level 60 users, without the level requirement increasing.

15-22% sounds like a whole lot to me. There are constantly commercials on TV here of companies which offer loans of 6-11%. I think 11% are the banks, so that's much cheaper than in your country. I'm glad I didn't have the money to buy F3 when it came out. By the time I had the money the GOTY was already out and I got it for about 35 Pounds (UK Import).

I saw it on sale for £13.50 and I thought "Hey, that's a good price!" so I bought it. Now I wish I waited for the GOTY edition. Then again, when I get to playing Fallout 3, I'll have more than enough to do on it without the extras.

I'm sure we won't see the EXP requirements increase ever again. I mean, would they completely change the level system around only to have it increasing once again 3 years after the redesign? However, if it does go up when Pimp's level 60, then it's a good thing I'll be level 45 just before he reaches the final level.

I leaning towards that I won't change considering at the moment I would take a user 10.6 Years to reach Level 60 as is. You really don't want to disenfranchise user to stop depositing for the sake of it being impossible to level up because it will stop one draw to the site; earning experience, levels.

I still think it will be constant just like the B/P Ranks when you reach EGSC but will see...

15-22% sounds like a whole lot to me. There are constantly commercials on TV here of companies which offer loans of 6-11%. I think 11% are the banks, so that's much cheaper than in your country. I guess those high rates are one of the reasons why so many people are in financial trouble in your country, right?

In part. Primarily it was due to giving credit to people who creditor knew they were unable to pay back. Those creditors earn not only interest from those people but things like late fees and fees of the same sort which kept people from paying the principle of the loan.

What the hell. I suppose you get a shitload of homework then. Either that, or you're expected to have a part-time job and such along with it. I can't imagine you guys may go to college for 18 hours and then sit on your ass for the rest of the week.

Most of my courses homework was optional since Exams have to be a certain percentage of your grade, especially the Final which was mandated to be a minimum of 30% of your grade. Of course for certain courses you have projects to do or essays to write which might be considered an exam grade but as far as homework in a traditional sense I wouldn't say so.

There is so much free time you can see how many students fall in to a gap of not studying, getting too preoccupied with a part time job and ending up dropping out.

Yeah I was thinking about that. When you think about it, the only new items that you can quantify that has been added to profiles in the past few years have been Art Reviews, Medal Points, and Audio Reviews. It might seem a lot of review threads but there is a lot of things you can review on this site.

Just wait for the Lit Portal and that review system too, then it will be a lot. :P

Just like the others I don't think the scaling will come back. All the work of adding new levels would be pointless if the levels would scale again. I guess they will introduce some more levels once a few users have reached level 60.

This is a serious question, because I really don't know. Never used the AIM or MSN clients. Only had ICQ and then switched to Pidgin because I was sick of all the ads that the ICQ client had.
And when I swichted to Pidgin I also took advantage of the fact that I could also connect to MSN and AIM with it and created accounts there. ^^

As for myself, I just made Corporal (4K B/P), and I'm in the top 12,345 for experience. I hung back on depositing early this morning hoping I would drop to exactly 12,345, which would have been phenomenally cool, but unfortunately it didn't happen. Onward and Upward!

I can log in with either my ICQ number my email. Also, of course you have names in ICQ. Mine is - surprisingly enough - Haggard. :P

Which features are you talking about? To my knowledge ICQ supports chat rooms (you can invite multiple users into it) and of course chatting between two users. Which are about the only things a client should support, imo. ^^
