There isn't much that can be done for it but I think there need to be some sort of revival in blamming; people should be excited in 'destroying other people's work' especially if it really on the borderline.
Exactly why the blam threshold should be raised to 2.00 on Clock Day - very few things get past the portal on that day with scores of below 3, so why not?

That could only be fun if we get people turning up to the gigs we play :P

Hey Johnny Park is one of my favourite Foo Fighters' song, oddly. :)It's one of those that I get caught up in trying to sing the backing and lead vocals at the same time with. You were talking about EXP and opinions. Also, no, my opinions don't change. MANOWAR RULES!
Wow, I thought mine would be a one man's opinion. I guess I could enjoy them more if I had a compilation album and showed their highlights.I've heard at least 4 or 5 similar complaints from various people that Status Quo do have some nice songs, but overall they just sound too similar on all their albums.
Yeah, I can name Rocking All Over the World, Whatever You Want...Uhh, that's it.
Sadly, I have Vista and I have noticed some slow issues with it. If Windows 7 is said to be faster, then I will consider getting it. However, I need to think about it before going ahead with installing a new OS onto this laptop. You should get Windows 7, it's really worth it.
I was originally holding off until issues with games and Windows 7 were solved but now shouldn't be too bad. If anyone else I know is talking about switching to Windows 7, we'll see what happens.

The concert is shorter and the crowd is probably "saving" themselves for the main act.
Indeed. It's not really what the crowd is paying for, and they usually can't make any use of the stage either. Plus I'm guessing that they wouldn't really want to go all out as a supporting act anyway. They probably want to save that for their own concerts/fans.
I especially liked the last 16-minute track of the album consisting of three parts called "The Lightning Strike". They also had some nice animations for that song during the live performance (could be one of the reasons why I like it so much).Nice, I'll check The Lighting Strike. I usually like songs that are divided in many parts, I think the bands tend to put more effort in them. Muse's Exogenesis Symphony and Dream Theater's "Trial of Tears" are good examples of this.
You should check out Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond then. It's a ~24 minute song divided in nine parts of which the first five are played at the beginning of their album* and the last four at the end. It's quite a relaxing and interesting song to listen to.
And actually, Pink Floyd have made quite a lot of 10+ minute songs split in several parts. If you have never listened to them, you might want to give them a try someday. If you like Dream Theater and Muse, I guess you will probably like Pink Floyd as well.

Yeah, but you could easily split up Dogs in two at that quiet barking point. And I love that song as well, it's probably one of my favorites. Well actually the entire Animals album might be among my favorite Pink Floyd stuff.
Another Brick in the Wall is indeed another one, although the parts are not that long. Another album that comes to mind is Ummagumma. I haven't listened to it all that much yet, but I believe there are many songs with many parts on it.
And of course there is Echoes. I guess Pink Floyd just really loved to split up their songs for some reason.

I've been trying to push my B/P count even more... I want to get to EGSC before the end of the year! Only 7670 B/P away from it, if I keep a 25 B/P pace until the end of the year, I'll make it!

Of course it might be more effective if you couldn't add nine co-authors after passing judgment to dance around the rule.
Heh, indeed. I remember that Afro_Stud did that after he submitted his old Pokemon flashes. And yeah, that had also been suggested at the time, but the staff didn't take that idea.

Heh, that happens. I'd rather put the CD on the computer and play it on order, anyway. I do that with most CDs I have.

Yeah, yesterday was a hard day for blams, I got only 9 blams + 3 flagged ones. Soon my saves count will match my blams one. =/
Ah, right. At first, I thought about football, but there were league games that day, so... Plus, Wales only have Ryan Giggs as player, I think. :PYeah, but we've got to play the Welsh in the football to qualify for the European Championships, which should be fun.
Ah, but we all know who wins all the time (unless it's a HUGE upset!).
Speaking of which, I'll make the FIFA World Cup thread. But should I make it now or wait a little more, closer to the first game date?
No, save that wit for the lock messages, where the enjoyment is public. ;)And that's what causes the most butthurt, sometimes.
But it also draws a fan base. "Look, it's Coop, that mod with cool and witty lock messages!"

Hahahha, yes. I try to avoid subtitles, just to check if I can understand everything. I try that with musics sometimes. But I end up giving up. =(
Also, it's weird that only their drummer remains from their original line-up. =PYeah, that's really weird. ^^
Even weirder than his glasses he always wears. XD
Ah, the blue glasses? They actually look good on him. It's like Bono Vox, you wouldn't recognise him without glasses.

Sometimes the crowd doesn't even know the band, which was my case in the Metallica concert. I had no idea what Hybria was about. =PThat is often the case I think. Although the bigger bands usually have more familiar names in the supporting act.
Either that or bands with a "rising" success. That would help the band promote themselves, opening for a famous band.
Hahahaha, I know that song! My dad has Wish You Were Here, we listen to it in his car every now and then. I'm a Pink Floyd fan, I don't know why I didn't mention them in the long songs thing.Lol. Well I checked your favorites and Pink Floyd didn't seem to be in there so I just assumed you might not know about them. Or just don't like them of course, but in that case you would probably not know their songs that well.
Heh, I really need to organize my favourites. =P
But I really like Pink Floyd. I remember listening to them since I was 6 years old. My dad used to play "Animals" all the time in his car, and I liked them since the beginning!
Dogs isn't split, but it's a 17-minute epic song. Another brick in the wall has three parts, although they're split in the album. Pink Floyd is one of my favourite bands! =)Yeah, but you could easily split up Dogs in two at that quiet barking point. And I love that song as well, it's probably one of my favorites. Well actually the entire Animals album might be among my favorite Pink Floyd stuff.
Yeah, the song has a pretty big "jamming" part. In a Roger Waters DVD, during that part, some of the bands members stop to play poker in the middle of the stage, with the backing vocals as the dealers. Neat stuff.
Another Brick in the Wall is indeed another one, although the parts are not that long.
And it's hard to count them as one song, since they're "bonded" with other songs. I mean, you can't listen to parts 1 and 2 without "The Happiest Days In Our Lives" between them. I'd rather listening to The Wall as a whole.
Another album that comes to mind is Ummagumma. I haven't listened to it all that much yet, but I believe there are many songs with many parts on it.
I've never heard it, despite my dad having it (I think). I'll give a listen to some of his old LPs one day, there are some great (and rare) things in there.
Now I feel like listening to Pink Floyd. =)

Yeah I guess the reasoning behind that would be because it would make life difficult for those who legitimately want to add people.
To me it's not that fact that spam movies pass judgment but what happens afterwords is what really bothers me. They are either lightning rods for abusive reviews or either they are designed to steal awards, noticeably Under Dog of the Week. If we could figure a way to solve that problem then I would be fine with it.

I'd end up in the middle of the track, but listening to Absolute Classic rock in work does help this, as they put the radio edit of Shine on you Crazy Diamond at least once a week.
Then it will be a case that someone like my girlfriend will skip it when it comes on in the car, much to my protest.
And no, iTunes store doesn't have it :( Just the 5/6 minutes versions.

On occasion, I do just want one kind of music - when I'm practising for my band, I just stick the playlist on with our repertoire and run through that, without shuffle on, for example.

Yeah, but it's been a long while since we played a match that means something against Wales ;)

Save it for a while - we've only just started talking about the Winter Olympics, so leave it until about May.

I'm not modding for that - If I was, there would be a lot more locked threads.

Alternative Character Battle 2 - Battle 10: Engineer vs Dogen
Today, I entered the Top 200 in EXP! Sadly, I couldn't be exactly #200 but oh well, I'll take the extra rank for granted. I entered the top 250 on 19th July 2009 so that's taken me almost 7 months from 250 to 200. I'm guessing I won't see a top 150 entry until the end of the year.
Also, I decided to make my Top 10 metal intros but bare in mind that due to copyright claims, you may not be able to see this video. :( WMG and Sony took copyright claim on this video (but it's still up there) the second it was uploaded. Damn!

Too late for Soldier. However, I wonder if you can do the same thing to psychonauts. Engineer's up against Dogen today and he really needs a helping hand.

It's a pipedream for all of us. Even top 50 seems like one. Top 100 I know I'll reach eventually.
