True. Of course I'm referring not just to the Philiies, but all Philadelphia fans; 76ers, Eagles, Flyers.
That's an interesting stat. I didn't know so many teams were that close to 10k losses. Seeing how the Cubbies like to implode mid-season I think they can surpass the Braves and reach that milestone next.

Yea, and lvl 42's pretty nice as well. I enjoyed my time there thoroughly. Thanks for the congrats.
I had to post in here again to congratulate gfox on his having finally hit the top 50. That's QUITE the achievement right there. I hope to join in on the fun down there 100 spots improved from my current rank within the next 2-3 years, I suppose. Odds are it'll be a lot tougher than that appraisal says. I really should get myself to 30k b/p though... not maxing out my voting potential is kinda starting to bother me.

Yeah, but it's one of those feel good stories from the end of the News.
"Breaking News, North Korea invades South Korea. World War 3 is just around the corner! But now, a father shows his daughter some love, after she throws away his first souvenir baseball, after he watched the Phillies for 25 years. Aaw."

Well, the Braves would need to suck royally for 2-3 years to reach the 178 more losses required. The Cubs have had a longer history and have managed to hold their own in the regular season, saving the suckage mainly for the playoffs. 405 losses could take 5 or 6 years for the Cubs to achieve, as it doesn't count playoff losses. I don't think they'd have 10k, even if postseason was taken into consideration, either... Nope, they're only 29-55 in postseason, so they're still short of 10k.
Damned Cubs can't do anything right :P

But I didn't really get why the ref didn't end the game after 2 minutes of extra time already. There really was no need to let them play that long.
It's kind of a house rule at Old Trafford - they play just long enough to get the goal they need :P Remember the Champions League final in 1999? Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scoring the winner deep into injury time. Michael Owen seems to be filling that role.
A friend of mine who's father was from the UK said: "They do it because the food tastes so awful, so they need something to make that stuff taste better." Do you agree with that? :PAt 9/19/09 06:54 PM, Haggard wrote:Well, the vinegar is something that I only tend to put over deep fried fish. I was never really a fan of vinegar on my chips. Perhaps he should try Brains' faggots ;)
Last time I was in GB food wasn't bad, but maybe it was because I was mostly eating at restaurants.
And I remember me being in a supermarket, in front of me a storage rack full of brown sauce... boy that smell nearly etched off my nasal mucosa. ^^
There are worse smells, trust me. When someone drops a bottle of white wine in the aisles in a supermarket, you end up with a vinegar like smell within minutes. That stuff takes a while to shift.

Stupid looking sword and sheath? That's a katana and wakisashi pair. Haven't you ever watched a decent samurai flick?
Sounds like Stamper... You have my sympathies for such a room mate. At least it's not as bad as the couple who shared a room above me when I was at Uni - never went out, serial drinkers, spent most of their time when I was in watching the X-Files and shagging noisily. *shudders*
But, I've been playing Ninja Gaiden II, and now that you mention the pair I do recognize them.

You have a point. I call it a win-loss situation. If you buy the one track, you'll have it to listen to wherever but if you don't, you won't have it but there's always money for other things. :)
I'm sorry but I do not fail for thinking Megadeth are better than Metallica.Yes, you do. :P
I. DO. NOT. FAIL.
Good. :)Thanks, I enjoyed it.Ahoy, you verily need your metalness impro'ed. Gar, Where can I find a bottle o'rum?Over there -->
It was great with Running Wild playing very loud.
Either way, it's highly recommended you listen to some Megadeth.Yeah, maybe some day...
You don't seem that bothered at all. :P
Oh yes there was. Now you go and this argument on myself thinking Slayer and Manowar are awesome is over.Couldn't we just end this argument without me jumping off the plank?
Sorry but off you go! *pushes Haggard off the plank thus ending the argument*
You didn't accept mine in the first place. >:(And I can never accept them.
That's too bad then.
I wouldn't recommend later Running Wild material. Supposedly, it's their weakest stuff and I suggest listening to Black Hand Inn.I have a few songs off that album. But I think "Under Jolly Roger" and "Port Royal" are better.
I still need Port Royal. It's really hard to get one in CD these days. :( However, I've seen one bid on eBay at a fair price so here's hoping I can get it. It's a shame some of their albums are difficult to get. There was enough hassle getting Death or Glory since I had to buy a second hand copy from Japan for £15.

Hmmm. I would have figured that the Cubs would have a lot more postseason losses. I guess you have to make the postseason to lose in it.
I figure the NL East is much a softer division than the Central so the Braves will have more opportunities to win, while the Cubbies have more opportunities to implode; that's my rationality. I guess we'll see in 3-5 years. :)
