UMMMM... nevermind about that. Looks like the BBS and profiles are fine during maintenance tonight. I've been asleep during the past two Sunday maintenances, so I never noticed but is the BBS always working during the now-weekly maintenances now?

I guess I just assumed that since back when we had nightly maintenance, the big-maintenance nights (3+ hours) usually had no BBS available during them (whereas the short 1 hour ones usually DID) the weekend ones would have no BBS available.ererer.e.re. BLEH!

Look! I posted an unhappy face because I'm unhappy. I must say the voting has been a little odd today. Submissions I thought would be saved were blammed & vice versa. It's not so much about the points but the effort and quality. There was a real cool submission with bizarre artwork in it that was torpedoed in minutes. Blah. I still vote 0 on those stupid dress-ups no matter what!!

Congrats on getting it down to three digits. It's a big psychological thing. I'm still in level 11 and down to 920, so it'll still keep coming down quickly for a while yet.

And my experience today is 2,222. Not going to get all the same number again for a long time so I'll take a screenie of that :-)

That's because it's Tanner's site.

It's nowhere near as expansive as NG, especially in terms of flash selection. There's some flash he did, and a sorta portal called the junkyard where you can vote (and yes, there's experience). But there's no blams and protects, no huge flood of movies... NG beats it in the overwhelming flash system department (though there are little kernels of goodness hidden here and there).

The main reason to go is a forum that's like general on NG, but without noobs. Mostly mods and regulars from NG (And a few non-NG people) post there. Fun times, fun times. Go read some threads and see if you're interested, but it's by no means a "have to join" situation. I actually just read threads there for awhile before finally deciding to join and post one night when the BBS was down on NG back in August.

Hey now! I personally voted to protect that. Mostly because I knew it would be protected after watching 5 seconds of it.

There's a ton of people who like to protect B-type films, and if you watched it all, you'd at least have to admit that compared to almost every other "B" film (i.e. mostly just B sitting there, or you can click and drag B around, or maybe there's some music... but not much)...

anyway, compared to almost every other B film, this one was actually pretty good. Plus, it had two songs in it. 700k isn't too bad for two songs. Now, had it been 3 megs... I wouldn't be supporting it. #;-}>

It wasn't great, but we're not supposed to only let great flash on the portal, just ask Wade. It made me laugh, so I hit 2. :::shrugs:::

I've run into the shithole of the exp ranking area. It's funny, too... I was stuck at 368 for 3 straight days, then jumped to 365.

I was just now, past three days, stuck at 356 every single day, but today I'm at 353 finally.

It's like stop and go traffic now. I'll move twice every week, and gain about 5 spots in those two movements, but the rest of the time, I'm just sitting at a red light. Kinda bites, but nowhere near as bad as being near the top 50, that's for sure.

Then again, I get to experience that sort of thing on the b/p list all the time now (never passing anyone... especially after I pass Nemesis next week. I won't be passing anyone again for months, most likely)... so I damned well shouldn't have to put up with it on the exp rankings as well, when I haven't even broken 350! BLEH! #;-}>
