also it may not sound like a lot but it takes months to move up in even a single exp rank these days. now to finish that program hat takes out a few more pc's of people ranked higher than me >:)
Congrats. :)

My point was only that you can't trust the 60/70/80 exp + amounts on the 2000 list to be spot on, but a person depositing every single day WILL show up as one of those amounts every day without fail. There's no other way he could show up, so there's some certainty to that.
Yup - but if somebody has less than 60 XP listed as their gain, then you know they DID miss deposits. :)
Ayup. I really hope that lesson was for the nooblets around here, cause I've known such things since 2003. #;-}>
Just making sure. :) It's better to say things too often than not often enough. :)
Nah. IMO, Shrapnel's been the only person depositing for ht52 for so long. Shrapnel's doing medical residency and all that, and working crazy 15-16 hour days and all that.
I think at some point, he stopped depositing for himself and for ht52, but then went back to on and off.
Ah, OK. So ht52 wasn't even depositing himself anymore? For shame.
IOW, I think it was more about lack of time and lack of passion than it was about quitting. Hardcore exp depositers never quit for good. It's too damned easy to keep depositing (unlike b/ping).
Yeah, but there might be a time when you don't see the point anymore. Case in point - I used to play Kingdom of Loathing for a while, but in recent weeks (or months), it's just become so incredibly boring that I don't even let KoLmafia (a bot) churn away in the background anymore. It's just not worth it, and I imagine that some people could conceivably feel the same way about NG.
When the whole site becomes irrelevant and a waste of time to someone, I'd actually be surprised if they did not stop depositing - after all, why should they still do so? Things like "I'm the level 30 user" (or "I'm one of the level 30 users") or "I need to defend my XP rank" stop being relevant when the site does.

You can do that already anyway, just make an alt and you get all the funs of a new account without having to sacrifice the old one.
True, but then I wouldn't get 800 bucks.
24's only twice twelve. WE CAN DOOOOO EEEEET.
Oh, sure we can. And 36 is only thrice twelve, and 48 is only four times twelve, and so on... we can do all that, too, but that doesn't mean we will. I hate to say it, but sooner or later, NG *will* come to an end, unless you want to believe that it'll still be around when the last black holes evaporate completely and when the universe will be an entirely uniform, cold, dark place... :)
Blargle. Yeah, like I said to Afro_Stud, I 'members, I 'members. I just thought you guys meant... more than that. Unless there's tons of icons hidden on like page 10 or something. But anywho, yeah, those five icons or whatnot that Tom had posted, I did see 'em awhile back last year.
If there are more to be seen somewhere than these, I haven't seen them. :P
Yeaahhhhh... ain't it cute!
Yes. ^.^ *tailwags*
Oooooo yeah.
"Take that, crappy flash... ride my boomstick!" ^^
BUT OF COUUUUURSE.
Seriously.
You uh... that's a dirty thing to say. :::blushes:::
That's just because you've got a gutter mind. :P
Oh wait, it'd take like 100 times more than that to make me blush.
FAKEBLUSH ALERT, FAKEBLUSH ALERT.
Heh.
Noooooooooo...
I once heard a cover of "Sharp dressed man" by a bluesrock musician I met on the street that was really good, though - he went by the name of Dr. Harmonica. I bought a tape from him, too, but I'm not sure where it is right now.
In any case, that's about the only exposure to ZZ Top I've had.
No, I do not. Thank the maker.
Naw, I'm an atheist.
Search on teh google if you really really need to see it and haven't still to this day. Which I certainly hope is the case. #;-}>
Ah, yes - thanks to the internet archive, I found some copies. Eh, what can I say, though? Just collages of shock pictures really, so once you've seen those, it doesn't add anything new anymore.

Eventually.
And thanks for the extra-special footnote to me, I 'preciate it.
Oh, you're welcome. :) (FWIW, I still hope the new levels will be delayed, too, so I can get to level 17 before they arrive. At the same time, of course, I also hope they'll be implemented ASAP so I can see what they're like and advance through the new levels. ^^ And no, I never claimed to be free of contradictions...)

Psst... in the future, 'twould be better if you refer people to ask me about it in the pentalist thread.
OK, I'll try to keep it in mind.
If Mad Cow posts there and asks to be added to my spreadsheet, that's the best way to go about things. I can check if Mad Cow IS on it already, and if not add add add! Next time (the last time) I'm updating the list, I can go through the recent pages of that thread and find anyone I'm missing that I want to add to the final update.
But if they post in here?
Let me put it to you this way: I'm catching up on 78 pages right now, from 1750 to 1828.
At least you ARE catching up... :)
There's no way in hell I'm combing through every post by every user in the LUL for people who need to be on my pentalist's final FINAL update. I will only be looking in my pentalist topic, as should seem logical to all, methinks.
Yeah, that sure makes sense. Of course, alternatively, you could just write a small script to grab the info for all NG users, and then go through that (using another script, not by hand) to see who should be tracked and who shouldn't. I imagine that if it's just a one-shot thing, the admins should be OK with it.
But of course, just using the pentalist thread makes sense, too. :)
