O.K, I know this is a bad idea, but I know a few people who had garbage whistles 'cos they whistled on the wrong selection and didn't realise it.

So i'm suggesting a whistle reset button, Only works once to prevent hastle, and only on garbage whistles.

Then newbies who click the wrong thing by accident won't have to deal with working hard to get to square 1.

and then why not a 'skip to level 60' and a 'skip to supreme commander' and why not even a 'Deity whistle' button? NO, once you've gone wrong, youve got to slowly climb back to a normal. Otherwise, a garbage whistle level would be pointless

I'm not saying skip to final level, and it only works once for noobs who don't understand the whistle thing.

Sarcasm- ie if you have that button, you may as well have those as your whistle stat would be useless - now, garbage means you cant flag. You may as well get rid of the garbage whistle then if you had that button.

Anyone who actually cares about their whistle should be able to dedicate enough time to work it back up to normal on their own. It really dosent take very long.

A garbage is a sign that basically shows you "your flagging skills are shit please change your ways" not "please click the button to get back to normal". You'll have to WORK to get back to normal, not click some flimsy button. In a way, its like a punishment for flagging so badly.

Your idea would get rid of a garbage whistle.

I'm a long time user of NG and I must say I'm enjoying the new site! (Both the design and functionality)
While I was surfing NG today and managing my favorites, I was thinking about all those collections (mostly the serialised ones) and that it would be very handy to be able to add such a series to your favorites rather than all the episodes in it.

What do you think about it?

Look, As far as I can see, i'm deleting half the alt accounts since if you have a garbage whistle and you want to get a normal one quickly all you have to do is make an alt, with my idea, all you have to do is press a button. Not create an alt.

I'm sure not very many people do that. If you work at getting your whistle up to a decent level then you deserve it. Someone who wants to press a button to get rid of their garbage whistle deserves to stay garbage. With all the time you have spent arguing for this idea, which no one else agrees with, you could have easily worked your whistle back up to normal by now.

Perhaps it could even go on the right (below faves or something) but I can see people getting it confused with the actual submission info.

If i review a movie one day, i would generally not watch it again the next day so i don't see how this could be useful. If you want it so you can just look at the reviews then surely you could do that through your userpage.

The only problem i see with this is that if after judgement you find a flash you think is okay you give it thumbs up, if you find the best flash you have ever seen, you give it the thumbs up. Those two flashes should not receive the same rating. Would this also mean that scores would go up depending on number of votes and not what vote is cast, meaning the top 50 would be somewhat messed up?

wouldnt really, however, it would require a hideous percentage system (eg 49% thumbs up 51% down) and also, we WANT A SCORE, then we know how good it it- 2= rubbish 4= good etc

also, why do you want it anyway? it would almost get rid of the voting power system

for that to happen, (or within the NG stystem for a score), it would need numbers so thumbs down=0, thumbs side= 1 thumbs up=2
then divide the number (scores) by the votes= score

that would just be the same as the system we have now. Also, higher voting powers are for those who have been on NG for ages- not for those who have been on NG for 2 days who want to control the voting system by having a communist like- everyone's voting power=1

thats actually a good idea, currently, what people are telling us to do is to add the artist but that would be a great idea. As you wouldnt have to add every single episode/version of the flash

You know the Breast Cancer Awareness design effectively shows how easy it would be to set colour themes.

It would be SUPERB if we could set a user preference to set a colour of choice to Newgrounds, all orange aspects like text input background, links, etc could be replaced with your favourite colour.
I think it would only be a matter of making a number of colour sets (because changing hues isn't hard) and a CSS style sheet or script that the user can choose on their profile.

I suppose that would also mean an option like "Ignore festive themes" or something.

Obviously low priority but this would be a beautiful addition, it COULD also encourage users to make accounts.

Psycho made a topic about this and had some pics with different colours for buttons, banner etc.

I think it would be cool if we could make custom layouts, with options to make different colours for the buttons, banner, links etc. rather than just one colour.

I noticed you need to insert specific names when searching for artists.

Example: Searching for paragon won't give you any results, but searching for ParagonX9 will give you all submissions for this author.

Maybe it would be interesting to change the searching method so it would give you results resembling your query?
