Eh... Why did I write "I thought"? I meant "He thought", of course.

Still too fucking long! It kills real discussion!
There should be a flood control of a minute or so instead, not 4 posts every fucking half hour.
Or it should at least block you from posting, having typed a reply to find I have to wait a long time!
Hey I was wondering can you add a gaming forum to NG?
I mean a place to discuss gaming from Atari to Xbox 360?
Thanks for your time...
What if the menu in the top left corner that tells you are logged in and has buttons for Account Options and Inbox and Log Out, what if the Inbox button had a number in parentheses if you have some unread messages? I mean, I don't like having to actually open the PM menu to see if I got a PM. It'd be nice if the thing up in that corner would tell me.
Sorry if it is already suggested.

Considering the ammount of gaming related discussion in the general forums that might not be a bad idea, I support it.
If users don't have a public profile, they should still have a profile including their stats.
So their profiles would just show:
Experience Points
Sign-up Date
Flash Reviews
Music Reviews
Flash
Music
Favorite Flash Artists
Favorite Flash Content
Portal Awards
Experience Rank
Blam/Protect Rank
Stickers
Voting Power
Whistle Level
BBS Posts
Batting Average
Also Amazon Wishlist, if they have one, since that's set up via the 'Edit Personal Profile' option.
It could also show level and aura(which would be neutral since they don't have a public profile).
They only things which wouldn't be viewable in the profile would be everything which is set-up via the 'Create/Edit Public Profile' option.
This would be useful for users such as The_Nameless_0ne, who have high stats which are unviewable without them creating a profile.
If I'm not mistaken, the number of votes on a movie makes it harder to increase the score, not the voting power of each vote, correct?
If this is the case then I feel that when the new levels arrive, that voting powers should also increase, with level 30 staying at 10 votes and level 60 at 15 or 20 votes.
One reason why people may stop depositing is because it takes so long to reach level 10, another reason may be because voting power starts to rise so slowly.
And as the portal starts to become far more active, votes start to have much less of an impact on older movies, votes are starting to be worth less.
Does this not sound fair?
I have a idea.
How about the ablity to use MP3s or WAVs with private messages.
And images too.

Sound uploads is a really, REALLY bad idea pal.
I am going to say this, maybe for the millionth time, but I'll say it anyway.
Let us edit posts. If anything let the thread maker always edit the original post so things can get updated like clubs and collabs. No time limit on the first post, either.
Then, put some timer on all other posts to edit them. LIke, if you post, you now have 12 hours to make a change and if you don't you never will be able to.
And make it so you have to be a certain level to edit so a newbie can't go crazy on the boards, enciting havoc.

Oh god no. Read liljim's post here.

That's worse than letting everyone who didn't start the thread edit their posts.
People could just replace the thread with something completely different. A lot worse than editing one post within a thread. I'm sure you'll agree.
And make it so you have to be a certain level to edit so a newbie can't go crazy on the boards, enciting havoc.
Level means nothing, some high-level users spam.
Even giving it to just mature, responsible users could be bad. What's to stop them playing around with it for bad every now and then?
There will never be an edit button.
We need to turn the Audio section into and Art section, or just add an art section.
You could really go for a chocolate chip cookie right about now...

Why? At newgrounds they encourage people to make their own art in animations.
There should be a Thing that says what your status is e.g... Status: Banned (obviously mods and Admins don't really need it Lol) and a thing next to the people's names who help run the site, moderate the forums etc.
Where it says (Mod) I can't seem to get the right size etc.
One more thing to add; usernames cannot be accepted by signing up if they contain the words (Mod) or (Adm)
A "Top 50 Most Popular" column in the portal, showing the top 50 most popular flashes of all time, therefore showing the ignorant user the content that made history.
Dat iz happy thought for me.

We have that for the top 10.
The ability for mods to delete a single comment in a thread. I know that editing posts is a bad idea, but some n00bs come into treads and make a good thread bad by saying something insulting, turning the topic in a bad direction.

Can't they already do that? I've seen them delete spam from clubs all the time...

Maybe he meant like edit the individual post? But yes they can delete crap.
Audio / Forum / Games & Movies Moderator. Flag stolen content, don't be a dingus.
Just a thought, how about having a section in your "Account Options" that shows the last 10 people to quote you in the BBS.
I think it would be a good way to see how effectively your messages are getting across and how / if people are responding to them.

No way because most likely you will get quoted once out of every three times you post.
they could make a button thats like "change layout" or stuff, or maybe they could do a "custom layout" button, for example, people might be able to change the backround colour from black into a different one, lets say blue, perhaps. Im starting to think this might be a good idea.....
Ok ill say this even though ive heard of people mentioning it.
Audio Batting Average or Audio rewards shwon on your profile.
I don't know if this was already suggested, in most of the chances, it can be suggested.
But here is my suggestion.
If the flash author switched the file with another file, it should be stated out when the file is switched ( date ) and how many times.
When a flash from a author is blammed or deleted by the request by the author, it should be noted in the profile from the flash author.
Idea #1: Voice Acting Sticky
The idea: A sticky in the Audio Forum giving links to voice acting recording programs (Cool Edit Pro, Audacity), Voice creating programs, (Speakonia), and places to find voice actors (Voice Acting Club, Voice Acting Alliance.) This way, there will not be so many seperate "i ned voice acotrs" threads, the voice actors will not have to go rumaging through the Newgrounds audio portal for voice acting auditions, and people who make useful posts in the Audio forum will not have them bumped down by voice acting threads.
A) Bandiwth usage: Fairly minimal
B) User Demand: All of the voice actors want it, and it would help anyone looking for a voice actor. Also, people who want to keep the audio forum less cluttered approve of this.
C) Purpose: For what it would take to make it, it is very useful.
Idea #2: Check what PM's you've sent.
Didn't check to hard for this one, but it would be nice to see what you've sent, to prevent from sending the same thing twice, and being able to reference back to what you said. Most forums have the feature to view PM's you've sent, why not here?
maybe you can get banned on certain parts of the bbs. like say im only banned from the general fourm. i can go on any fourms but that one. (temporarily)
