I'll throw in my sound effect finds. One commonly overlooked resources is your local public library. I don't know about any other parts of the country (or world for that matter), but my library has a moderately extensive collection of CDs, including about a dozen sound effect CDs. Good place to go for high quality sounds. Check it out.
