But please goddamnit help me with my Offbeat Bass problem guys!!!

That problem is that my Offbeat Bass sample (the thingy after a Bassdrum) can't be pitched at the Piano roll!!!

DJ Rave core is it a VST of the net that is making this base pitching problem?
Cuz Karma FX presets aren't in the key of C so it doesn't always work. I found because all of my pieces r in the key of C that instead of playing all white keys i chnged em up to black keys so basically if it doesn't sound right change it on the pattern thingy
from a black key to white until it sounds the same as the rest of your music. Also make sure all your sounds are in the center top or bottom on your pitch sliders or ever knotch on your pitch knob. This is probably confusing as hell for u. so pm me i'll try to show u wtf i am talking about. I might as well speak klingon. If it is a dance/trance bass you r having i can't really tell then simply make the kick come first then the base after words so it makes a boom bump noise..... Fuck i probably didn't help u at all but it was worth a try... please don't expose my failure.

Well now I'm using a demo version of FL 5 because I wanna learn all possiblities before I get the registrated version.

So I don't have downloaded (or however) VST's.

heya, im completely new to FL, ive been messing with it to learn the basics of the basics and my main question for now is how to change the duration of the sounds that are pre made, for example. under strings, i picked a nice sound i found, when doing the pianorole thing the note is longer thne i want, i wanna shorten them and use it for more of a melody rather then a background sound. so ya how do i change the length of the notes on pre made sounds?

Meh, in my song I want it to repeat from a spot instead of the begginning, so I put that little arrow (where you right click on the line above the patterns window) and it works fine in FL (it repeats there) but when I convert to mp3, it doesn't work on the mp3 ... >.<

You can alwas get soundfonts or VST's. I'm sorry if Im not helping.

Grrr...My track sounds really great in FL but when I export to mp3 it sounds totally different and has weird noises thrown in ... >.<

those "weird noises" are called artifacts, you're bouncing down at too low a bit rate, increase the kb/s your exporting to. 128/192 kb/s is standard for internet music

Yeah I increased it a bit and it helped. still sounds a bit different from FL .. >.<

As far as I can tell, Sound fonts and VSTs are downloady things to get xtra instruments, right?

I would like to know if there is a plugin somewhere that allows FL to open up .MOD files?
From what I've read, a mod file is a MIDI file on steroids. It uses the same idea as midi but has its own samples. I want to do this because there are a whole bunch of Amiga games sitting in my closet that I'm dying to get the music from. Mainly, I just wanna pretty them up and such. All help would be appreciated.

Nope, and mod file, is totally diferent. its basicly wav files and such all placed on a roll and from of notes, numbers and such. Same With xm, it, s3m, mt2 and med.

Basicly i call them module music. I use to do it back in the day but its loads of work, takes lot of time and patients.

I dont remember posting that, sountfonts are for extra instruments, yes. Google them and you can find alot.

and than install them in this folder. VST's go in -Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 6\Plugins\VST Soundfonts go in -Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 6\Data\Patches\Soundfonts

Than you open FL studio and go to channels, (for vst's and stuff) add more and look at the bottom and preform a 'fast scan' and click next to all your new VST's whatnot.

OK, i need some help with the above posted part, but as i said in previous posts, i would like the same effect as Paradise On E, by B0UNC3, it starts slower, but gets faster as the sound builds up, help!

Anyway, how do i change that in one pattern, it starts slowly, then goes faster, and that all in one pattern.
Or, change it in the first pattern, next pattern somewhat faster, but i don't want it to affect the other patterns.

Could that be possible? Or is it asked too much of FL Studio?

Well, it isn't that hard, you start with the basic sounds, Kick, Clap, HiHat and snare.
Next to those names, you see empty boxes. click on it and be sure you have selected play (its under that pretty big lcd-like screen, next with the stop and the recording mode button.)

Now you hear sound :O

You don't really need this... I've been using FL for 2 or 3 years now, and I haven't used it once! Well, unless you are speaking of 'slicing'.

To slice a drumloop, it HAS to be in .wav format, or else you can't make it into a loop. Then find it in FL, then open it up in the slicer, and bam. Done.

Now, if you are refering to making different samples play play out of the layers channel, sorry, can't help you there. I sat there for an entire night with my brother, and we figured it out once, but then we just gave up cause it was of no use to us >:/

Sequencing - I'm trying to put together a bass line, but all the bass samples I have are really long, and when I shorten the note in the piano roll, it still plays the whole thing...how the heck do I work it?
