There's no for-sure way to find an inbetween or equidistant person to try it out, either. If he's near Toronto, say, and you're in Texas, and so are the servers... you might think that someone over in the Seattle area would be a good example... but the pipelines in the US might be better than those in Canada.... so... the whole distance thing becomes muddied.
Still, that would be a better... and much closer to objective... measurement.
First we'd have to know where the shaw.ca server IS, though. We know where the tamu.edu is already.
Recon_Rebel is the first person who springs to mind as someone who should see how long both files take to DL. Or hell, just someone from across an ocean. #;-}>
