So what makes jonthomson's request for no overlap so special... WAIT! Did he bribe you to stay out of his territory? #;-}>
It was implied by your "I've got that covered already" comment. Besides, I was just JOKING because he seems more willing to tread upon Dogma and ramagi's territory than yours, perhaps simply because exp and b/p are more "main stats" of NG than reviews are, so I decided to make light of the situation, eh? #;-}>
I just made the point that I had reviews covered, as I'm using his program to go through NG anyway.
Yes, but I was just making the point that ramagi already had exp covered and Dogma already had b/p covered (and I already have VP covered, though he hasn't made a VP list) and etc. etc. etc. but that hasn't stopped him from making overlapping lists with theirs.
You see, the one thing he's providing that they are not is BEYOND the elite stats. IOW, for exp, he's providing the noobs below the top 500 a chance to see themselves on a ranked list. And for b/p, he's providing the noobs below the EG a chance to see themselves on a ranked list. And if he does a full VP list or takes my advice and just does the VP range between 5.00 and my top 500, he'll be providing the noobs below 7.00ish VP a chance to see themselves on a ranked list.
He could very easily have decided, way back when he first made the total exp and total b/p listings, to do a total review listing, and give the noobs (including me!) who aren't on your top 100 a chance to see themselves on a review listing. He could extend his list down to 1 review or 10 reviews if he wanted. It wouldn't be anywhere near as long as list of profiles as the >50 exp list he already maintains.
The truth of the matter is that you, me, ramagi, and Dogma have never had the stats we cover ENTIRELY covered, just the elite top side of them. Personally, I think that's all that's WORTH covering in a list because NG only celebrates the top 50 of the two main stats... and by expanding downward from there and to other stats, we could already be accussed of "watering stat eliteness down" somewhat... taking it even further than a top 100, top 500, or top 1000 can be seen as further watering it down. But wotevah. As long as the original listmakers' lists aren't rendered totally obsolete by SK's new full listings, I'm fine with them. Especially when they offer something different and/or don't cover everything the other lists cover (such as change since last time, rank change, or whatnot).
