I love Roblox and play a lot of it, I think there are some very fun and unique games that are overshadowed by the sheer amount of copy-paste P2W slop. Ive played so many that I can tell which ones are built off the same framework or whatever and know its not worth playing..

Theres some very old games that still have big playerbases, like work at a pizza place and natural disaster survival.

I really like one called Dream game, I see people compare it to yume nikki I dunno... I like to explore. Its a bit popular lately, or maybe I feel like it is because I see lots of posts from roblox fans talking about it.

Anything popular enough to be getting toys you see at the store is slop. As is anything with "simulator" or "tycoon" in its title, likewise with obbys but I still like obbys even if they're boring and easy.

Classic Sonic Simulator is the only reason I come back to Roblox.

But fr, it's basically just another Google Play Store / App Store. There might be a couple underrated games you can find, but most of the ones you find on the front page are either not good at all or exploitative games whose sole purpose is to convince lil jimmy to steal his mom's credit card to get shitty fake currency to buy shitty skins n stuff. At that point trying to look for the diamond in the rough is way more work than just playing another other actually good F2P game.

I hate it because people sometimes make the most insane, cracked shit on there but then you need to make a roblox account and probs see elsa inflation stuff or something on the shop just to play it

But I always enjoyed the OLD games that don’t look like the stuff that everyone hates Roblox for.

I can name MULTIPLE things why people hate roblox.

Greedy Devs, horrendous moderation (one time i got 2 WARNINGS AT ONCE because I reported someone who was saying a bunch of racist crap to me in voice chat and instead of him getting banned I GOT THE WARNINGS and I even emailed roblox saying that it wasn't me and they denied.), grows more and more overly corporate, alot of young children play it, groomers (a horrifying amount of them. So much it's gotten onto mainstream news. It's so crazy even my FAMILY knows about it not even hearing from me.) there is just so many other things too. But I still occasionally play it. With friends or when i'm bored. I see alot of potential in the engine itself and have seen games that look really good. It's really good for making multiplayer games but it's also possible to make single player games too. Also Roblox recently HAS put an effort in terms of increasing safety on the platform (most likely because of the huge backlash) and has added better parental controls, removed the ability for -13 accounts to use public chat (now they have to have permission from a guardian) and they can't see group walls. Straight up that's being removed with a better forums feature. Honestly it's parental controls that every platform that allows underage users to have. It allows parents to monitor what their kids are doing and hopefully there will be parents that use this feature as intended. Unfortunately though alot of parents nowadays are lazy and expect social media to monitor your kids and now want to take away people's privacy I can go on how bad this is but lets not get off track from this roblox topic. Roblox has recently decided to make official events again after years of no events at all. Sure most of them are kinda crap and don't have much of a theme.. expect for the classic event. Even though that event was pretty crap in terms of game selection and the finale it had alot of personality and a fun lobby. Probably their best one from last year. Tho all of these new events have to be going into other games and yeadeya. don't feel like explaining it much. There are still things to like about Roblox even if you are older but it does have it's flaws that should be acknowledged. thank you for coming to my yap talk.

Roblox has a lot of games that are too good for it on their platform, I may occasionally play for that reason, but it's been years since I actually played frequently.

yeah I agree Roblox is too corporate now, I also hate what they've done with the history of the site. a lot of classic games don't work properly now because of updates to the site.

I like the a lot of the games but the company as a whole I don't really like, to keep it brief I don't like them trying to sue Ruben sim a few years back, the new ai moderation and the way they've handled inappropriate stuff both on and off-platform (I will admit they have started to crack down more on inappropriate stuff on-site but its still got a long way to go)
