TL;DR - It all sucks. Saddest part is all those folks losing their jobs, followed by the Nemesis System being shelved for longer, and lastly the Wonder Woman game being cancelled.
To be honest, the biggest losses here without seeing the Wonder Woman game itself are the loss of jobs and the Nemesis System being put on the shelf again following a patent that's got it locked down until like 2036.
I'd like to think that the Wonder Woman game could've been awesome, but it already had $100M sunk into its development supposedly and had nothing worth showing (other than a cinematic teaser trailer that may have been outsourced). Wonder Woman is not as easy to bank on as Batman, so the Wonder Woman game would've had to look amazing to get consumer buy-in.
As a publisher as a whole and the IP owner, Warner Bros. just came off of two big DC IP flops in the form of Suicide Squad and Gotham Knights, with both games costing a ton to develop. Suicide Squad was too much of a live-service title in a gaming climate where folks are now less interested in a live-service (GaaS) title unless it's got a really interesting hook/mechanic or established characters folks love (and outside of Harley Quinn the lineup was pretty awful, even their Joker was "a Joker" and not close to "The Joker"). Their HUD was insane, there was so much going on! So much purple everywhere VFX wise for various indicators too. And Gotham Knights should've been a relatively easy sell, but the characters had weird traversal elements and abilities, and Gotham didn't really feel like Gotham (which is crazy as all these characters were playable and solid in Arkham Knight, I get that it's different studios but the publisher owns everything).
Like I said, biggest upsets in order are job losses, Nemesis System on the shelf again, then the Wonder Woman game. Losing Monolith is super sad, they've been around since the early 90s and developed some great games (Blood, F.E.A.R., Condemned, No One Lives Forever, The Matrix Online, Shadow Mordor/War), and even though I'm sure much of the original talent behind their games was mostly gone their legacy ended with being shutdown by their owner for working on a game they were forced to work on that's not an easy sell or easy to develop.
