Even if some truly believe that, the reason these things are introduced is never to "save the kids" and there's something else that's a much higher motivation

Exactly why I hate that mantra as... I feel the net made people too comfortable to ruin spaces. The biggest problem is that you have too many adults in kids spaces or too many kids in adult spaces. " Save the kids"... Is hollow, and does more harm than good as " If want to save the KIDS, why don't you keep them away from a playground with rusty nails everywhere as that is what the net is at best, and at worst is vile. ". Some content isn't meant for kids, but we shouldn't harm the experience of adults. Parents should be held more accountable for bad internet usage from their kids, but no adult these days are willing to have that accountability.

Exactly. It's to keep network services like Cloudflare free from liability in order to appease advertisers and payment processors. But you either play ball or get de-platformed (or get charged £18 million, I guess).

As someone who likes JP websites and content more. The major problem is and will be the payment processors and who owns them. This is why I refuse to buy ENG versions of my favorite series as the western side wants to alter content and defile the experience I paid for... Payment processors are telling people legal aged adults what they can purchase with their hard earned cash, which upsets me, but don't apply their payment blockage equally for places like OF...As, let's always remember the story that Tumblr was. Regardless what you believe in. Pay attention to the reasons for bans, removals, and your local laws as. Advertisers and payment processors hurt the creativity of platforms... The net has become more sanitized as I've gotten older, but the creeps have gotten worse due to I feel, lack of parental responsibilities and lack of " DO NOT SHARE PERSONAL INFO ONLINE, OR... Expect a doxxing event because someone really hates you ".

It's sad when the Roblox CEO has to tell parents to watch their kids, and tell them to stay off if not comfortable to use their service.
