It's a bad take. Making games is a complex many layered process so if anything AI should assist in the process but not entirely take it over.
If you truly are curious why the "Anti-Wokes" are made at Daniel Vavra it is merely a matter of canonical consistency. Henry has an optional gay romance in Kingdomcome 2 yet in Kingdomecome 1 the main character was entirely straight.
Personally I don't care. It's not my kind of game. I picked up Endless Alice and Nunholy not too long ago. If you don't recognize either of those titles then congrats, you realize how much I have fallen out with anything remotely close to "mainstream gaming". Indie scene has been cooking and that's where I typically stay now days. Either that or guilty pleasure fare like the Earth Defense Force series!
However, a lot of that anti-woke sentiment came from big corpos and smaller consultancy agencies under those big corpos pushing what could only be described as "woke" ideology from the top down. Not because they want more women, more gays,or more ethnically diverse people in gaming. Rather it is because such virtue signaling looks good on the surface whilst the corporations use that to hide more dubious questionable actions. (Mass firings, crunch time, harassing of fellow employees, court cases, copyright infringement, sabotaging a smaller company so a bigger company can buy it out, etc.) It is the equivalency of tossing a rainbow throw-rug over a pile of human bones!
Whether a person is brown, albino, has 4 arms, slides around like a stealthy slug, has wings,or is green from down-town they should be hired based on their skills and experience. If they happen to be gay or a furry as well? No one cares if they can do the job well! But when people get rejected for not having enough identifiable "quirks" on the esg check-list or get hired merely because they are a diversity hire stereotype that is wrong. Employers should hire based on meritocracy as opposed to someone's sweater pattern, their politics, their pigmentation density,or how many times they participate in erotic under-water basket weaving.
My advice? The self-identified camps of the woke and anti-woke sides obviously have their grifters and bad actors. Best thing you can do is delve into both sides of any argument and do your due diligence in research. Then simply sort the wheat from the chaff. Or if you don't have enough time tell anyone trying to censor or replace what you enjoy as your entertainment to frick off into an event horizon! So long as no real human beings or other real sentient creatures get hurt by what you do it should not be a problem.
