The loud emphases are not loud and in your face, the whole piece is in your face which is not par for the course even with brassy things

And I might add, if your response to someone about not having a good piano is anything to go by, there is a great free piano, called Soundpaint 1928 Steinway

There are exceptional free things, and @LD-W has flagged them on a regular basis even on the contest servers, all you need to do is look

The whole point of listening to Sing, Sing, Sing on the phone is to train the ear to spot differences, and it is not a decision we arrive at just like that, it's about acclimatising to listening for details, including things that don't sound quite right

And if that sounds good on the phone, that's goals and if we could do that even with free instruments and software defaults (which, I do on the regular), that would be really nice, because brasses are hard to get right
