sonic colors (for the DS) or some free game for the ps3 wich i dont remember the name but was just a piece of shovelware about some classic arcade games with HORRIBLE 3d graphics

The actually worst games, I probably wouldn't remember. But the ones I do are games which lured me into thinking they're passable or interesting, and aggressively wasted all potential either at the end or all the way through.

---

I was always into fantasy RPGs, so someone gave me Mage Knight Apocalypse (2006) for my birthday when I was around thirteen.

It seemed great on paper and at first glance.

My favourite genre. Diablo-like character selection (but in 3D, how cool is that?). Long skill trees with crazy abilities like elemental tornados or dragon transformation for the dragonkin protagonist. There is a story about preventing an apocalyptic multiheaded dragon from coming to life by assembling a weapon. Interesting environments; the game starts in a dwarven fortress trying to resemble Moria. There's a potion-making system from collected herbs, there's infusing weapons with gems.

Is it a new Diablo? Is it like Fable? Or even Baldur's Gate? I wanted to like it.

(it is that “shitload-of-bloom” video game era)

Almost every aspect of the game was bland and unappealing.

All the different skills and abilities? Just a different visual effect, damage number and mana consumption. Barely any tactics or change of gameplay involved. No such thing as a “build”.

No ability feels like it has any impact, they're boring (I've never seen an unsatisfying fireball before, but here we go).

If you don't have enough mana or the cooldown didn't expire yet, they will display a red message across the screen telling you so. You will see this constantly.

Interesting enemies? You keep getting killed and killed with no consequences because it's just not possible to avoid damage, so you're meant to run back from the nearby save point and finish the mobs off, bit by bit (their health doesn't reset). The companions helping you fight are hopelessly ineffective.

Loot? Endless streams of random crap with randomized stats. Nothing unique, no item matters. Look at the tiny bubbles in the third screenshot.

Crafting? Your very limited inventory can't hold the ingredients. And why would I bother? I can burn through health potions quickly and resume dying, or just die outright and save myself the trouble. And why would I infuse anything with gems when there's a better weapon just around the corner? If I'm desperate, I can just buy everything with my overflowing wallet.

The story is cliché upon cliché, and the characters or dialogues don't make up for it. Everybody spouts endless exposition and nobody has any personality. Even the voice actors seem bored.

I really wanted to give the game a shot (perhaps I'm missing something great); started playing from the beginning again three times, but never had the patience or interest to get through it all and finish it.

Oh my god this game looks super ugly.

It's like they put a blur filter over a very detailed game that was already covered in vasaline.

Take it with a grain of salt, I am slower than a snail.

Drakengard. It is also the best game I have ever played.

Sonic 06. I tried so hard to like it because I prefer the Adventure style gameplay for Sonic, but it just felt so stiff and clunky and that volcano level was so hard not because of the level design or the enemies, but because the physics would keep breaking causing me to die in lava.

Even you call even call it "game"...

Buggy and full of empty promises and made by a total piece of shit developer.

Need I say more?

Sonic R. I played it a lot of times on the PS2 through Sonic Mega Collection Plus, Sonic Gems Collection and also on the Windows XP in the 2004 PC release. The controls and camera are torture, the only good thing about it is the music, so you'll be better off listening the OST on Youtube than playing this.

Long time ago I played Atari Pacman. Thought it would be simple to bring it to consol. I was very young child could have been easily fooled but I quickly did not like it ask to return it. Did the arcade ruin it for me or was it the sound?

He went to prison for insider trading but we all know his true crime was making this game. Sort of like how Al Capone only went to jail for tax evasion.

This is the only Blast! Entertainment game I've ever actually had, and I intend to keep it that way.

Play the one on Gameboy and you'll appreciate ps2 version
