What kind of challenge is this?
You compose video game music based on a challenge of your choice from the available options. I invited a handful of skilled people from the community to design their own challenges with different themes, criteria, and sources of inspiration.
What do I get from participating?
The challenge designers will comment on every song in their group, and you can expect to receive feedback from other community members. This is also an opportunity to practice composing for games, show your skills to the community, and potentially find work and grow your audience. If a moderator likes your submission, they might feature it on the front page!
How do I sign up?
- Choose your favorite two challenges from the available options in the slideshow.
- Reply to this thread with your first and second choices before the deadline.
- Wait for an event organizer to assign you to a group. A smile reaction means you are registered.
- Start composing!
How do I submit my song?
- Reply to the submissions thread with your song and group.
- Mention any important information in your post.
- You may ask for feedback and edit your track at any point.
Rules
- Collaborations are allowed. In this case, state that you are on a team when you sign up. You can decide to collaborate after signing up — let us know!
- You are allowed to use templates, melodies, and any other assets created before the start date.
- No remixing songs. Your composition must be unique and cannot feature sound effects or melodies from other songs.
- Sorry, you can’t change your group after you have been assigned one unless you quit and later re-join, and your previously assigned group has become full.
- To prevent no-shows by the end, please submit your track or show proof of progress within 3 weeks of signing up.

Feel free to ask any general questions in this thread so others can see the answer. If you have a question about a challenge, ask the challenge designer. If you expect to submit past the deadline, DM the challenge designer; challenge designers aren’t obligated to review late submissions, but you can ask.
