September was another mind blowing month on NG! Madness Day was huge, the Dreamcast Collab was huge and we had so many other wonderful entries throughout.

You may have noticed art collab gallery viewers weren’t included in the game nominees this month. There’s been a tendency for these to beat out games in the monthly awards and we feel that it is discouraging to game developers, as the gallery viewers aren’t technically games. It would be nice to find a place for them in the monthly awards but it’s also difficult to award prize money to entries that have so many participants.

Even with this change, there were some amazing games that got left out due to the dominance of Madness Day entries. I recommend checking out FutureCopLGF’s picks for some real gems!

I’d like to give another thanks to our prize sponsors, who made it possible to expand the prizes this month. Thank you also to our Supporters, who help keep our base prizes going!

Another great month of games, and congratulations to all of the winners! Man, after August had such a huge load of games, I thought September was gonna give me a break since most of y'all would be back in school: guess I thought wrong because we had even more games than ever at around 40+ entries! Granted, some of those entries were games from all the way back in 2016: heck of a surprise to see this one pop up!

I hear ya! I always have difficulty figuring out where to rank art galleries: I like to give an honorable mention to some of them that get really creative, such as the Bug Collab, but I typically don't put them into my top 10 since they aren't necessarily games, per se.

I gotcha covered as it won first place in my Top 10!

I'm really looking forward to that update: a Madness Cafe Management game is a great idea! Feel free to take any of my ideas I left in my review, or do whatever you think is best!

Well pretty good, I honestly expected the new episode of @Krinkels to take first place and he honestly deserved it, also nice to see that PXAY OFF! @MarcoCardenas take second place and @Piemations animations at fourth and @Jremby fifth. What puzzles me is the question of how the creators of the Dreamcast Collab are supposed to share the prize, after all, there participated more than 300 creators, for each would be only 3 dollars and 10 cents. About the games I will not comment because I have not played any of the above. In Audio @KawaiSprite and @cheshyre being the reason why FNF and MC are so further popular and have a huge fandom and I see that also @Waterflame and @TeraVex went wild. In Arts, my favorites took the podium, @fliphrrr with his beautiful Peach, @KornArt3 with his Shadow, an amazing story by @DeimosArt and @PhantomArcade with his Pico poster. I am most happy that @Bacun took first place, so many years of drawing beautiful Anime girls finally succeeded. Big congratulations to the other winners and see you in the next awards, I promise that the slip-up from the previous awards will not be repeated, I do not intend to become JonTron of Newgrounds.

WHA HAPPENED!? The site pooted itself again!?

Congrats to the winners of Sept 2022, especially with the new monthly voting system.

And right off the bat, we can see the new prize sponsorships paying dividends - what was a top five for games back in August is now a top seven, and the music category went from $100 for August's monthly winner to giving a half-dozen skilled souls their well-deserved payday, with a nice bonus for KawaiSprite's latest banger.

As for September's top movie, the instant classic that is Madness Contravention, its now got a Daily, Weekly and Monthly trophy:

I'm not sure how many submissions there are on Newgrounds that pulled off such a similar feat, but I imagine Contravention's now part of a very exclusive club.
