Point is you don't need to dual-boot when you can just exit to DOS in Windows.
If I recall, it's not pure DOS but an emulation of DOS. Less than XP, but still not as genuine as DOS 6.22 running windows 3.1.

Nope. Its real DOS.

Anyone else here like to toy with assembly or C in dosbox using djgpp or openwatcom? Yeah I know borland turbo C++ was the tits in the 90s, but I don't think the last remaining DOS version supported the i486 and definitely didn't support the i586 (pentium). And it was 16 bit only, meaning no protected mode 32 bit. I find it right now hell of a lot of fun, might make a few small games or two depending how interested I am.

"The Elder Scrolls I: Arena" is free on steam and it runs through DOS-BOX, you can pick the files up and try to run on DOS.

It's basically Doom with a medieval fantasy skin.

I think I recognized some Quake-like level design in it.

Dark Sun: Shattered Lands and it's sequel, Wake of the Ravager. You won't regret it.

There is also the original Dungeon Keeper.
