*lol* I see you can't help but reality-test fictional characters, too. That's one reason I stopped being a big fanboy a good while back. I used to be into Batman, for example...Frank Miller made him so damn badass. His graphic novel permanently altered Batman for the better, character-wise. But.
The cape looks cool; however it would only be a liability; it would get caught in closing doors, windows, etc. at the worst possible time. Bruce Wayne's cape would also get his butt kicked in a real fight, as it would be a great handle to pull him off-balance. As would the ears/horns on his headgear in some artists' versions--any half-skilled street thug would grab one & chancery Bruce's face into hamburger the first chance he got. His batarangs wouldn't actually throw well at all in our world, where wind resistance & aerodynamics are a thing. And his belt often holds so much gear that no way could Batman climb, leap, fight, etc. with the agility he does in the comics.
