Hi! I haven’t been too active here lately but I wanted to share this news in the art forum. I recently got my art published in a magazine. It’s for the Quarter press specifically for their W3IRD Volume 2. And yes I’m surprised too that my pixel art was the piece to get selected for this magazine lol. I guess giygas never truly dies huh

These past few months, I’ve been wanting to deactivate my newgrounds account, not delete it since my art just never improves at all compared to my friends. I just am stuck in limbo at this point
Although it's still Spooky Month, I've decided to show off this Venomous J. Viper ornament I did. I've noticed that some of the stores around me have their Christmas stuff out (at least just wait after October! But I guess they're so eager to get them out as early as possible), so I bought this wooden ornament from Michaels to make this. My main plan is somewhere around December I'll buy some polymer clay and make an ornament! I've never used polymer clay before, so it'll be a fun little activity to do.

They exist plenty. We've even had a few anti-learners in the mix.
They're just not the ones agonizing over their lack of progress. People that want to progress will progress (if they seek out and act on good advice, anyway.)
anyone know of good figure drawing instructors that aren't Glenn Vilppu or Steve Huston? I'm looking to re-learn that stuff and it's probably better to learn it from someone I haven't already learned it from before.

When comparing yourself to other artists, you should be fair to yourself by factoring in all the artists worse than you as well. I'm older than you and my art doesn't even come close to yours, but I try to keep in mind that there are probably some older than I am who are worse than I am (I hope...)
It would be cool for each forum to have a lounge thread like this, generally based around the forum topic and good spot to find it if you don't have a particular idea for a thread and none of the active threads peak you interest, but with margin to talk about a lot more, since general is showing no sign of coming back anytime remotely soon
