This should be getting sorted out this week, having some issues resulting from the various methods of text formatting over the past 25 years, now that we're trying to clean out a lot of old back-end stuff.

Does that mean that
"
will be fixed in some places? I can’t remember where I’ve seen it exactly but I have seen it show up in like a short description.
Right now, the "Movie Judging" and "Game Judging" links at the bottom of the site seem to be going to the latest judged entries, not unjudged. I have to switch to showing unjudged entries manually.

There are some old cases of that where I don't think it gets fixed unless you make an edit and re-save to the text. Those will probably remain that way.

Good catch, that link structure must have changed at some point! I've made a ticket noting the correct URLs to use there.

I think that's the case. To be precise, it's an issue with PostyBirb.
Are you sure it’s just PostyBirb? Because I have seen pieces having that same problem, yet they don’t have that description “Posted from PostyBirb” or something to that extent.
You can disable the tag in PostyBirb's settings.
I'd rather PostyBirb be disabled outright. People mostly use it likely don't care about Newgrounds and just want to crosspost as quickly as possible.
edit: woops accidentally replied to the wrong post: fixed it.
I was looking at this guy's reviews, and I noticed something.
I know the reviewer might've been underage, but that's something I'd rather not deal with, or privately if possible.
When filtering exclusively reviews on A-rated submissions, or just disabling E-ratings, all the audio reviews stop showing up, not just the E-rated ones.
This is true even when directly on the Audio Reviews page.

I think I get where you are coming from with that feature request, but the artists I actually see use PostyBirb tend to be users actually deserving to be called "artists". To my understanding, that means that they have to spend an excruciating amount of time on janitorial work, "promoting themselves", and other mind-numbingly boring tasks that have nothing to do with their actual artistic activities. If that piece of software is saving legitimate artists time, I see no reason to harass them over "not loving NG enough to copy and paste everything with their own two hands".
Personally, I would prefer it if artists who actually generate money through their work would consider becoming supporters (especially the NSFW-crowd), but I am also very aware that the term "starving artist" exists for a reason. If Newgrounds is just another free hoster for them, so be it. But when I look at the Artist News these days I see more and more artists waking up to the fact that this is one of the few last "usable" places they have left. There is at least the hope that they will give some affection to the platform at some point in the future. But driving them away now would not be doing our community any favors.

Found a bug when trying to edit my PFP and banner images.
OS: Windows 11 Home version 23H2
Browser: Mozilla Firefox
Where it happened: On my profile page.
How it happened: When I uploaded my image and tried to drag it to reposition it, it acts like you're trying to drag-and-drop it to a new tab [shown in image below]. When I release the left click button, it drags without me holding onto the mouse button. Clicking again stops the image from dragging.

Video Demonstration
Now I'm trying to remember if we actually let that image get dragged around, or if we just let you zoom it.. There might not be any drag functionality, due to how it ends up rendering different on mobile vs desktop, where instead it always remains centered. So I have a feeling that's not a bug and just a lack of a drag ability in the first place.

I see now!
Experienced a bug with the video player on this submission:
Pausing near the end of it has a tendency to freeze the player entirely.
I almost shat myself thinking Stopsignal deleted their account.
This doesn't seem to effect functionality.
Recreating is simple: go to front page, search "stopsignal".
operating system: windows 10
Browser: Firefox
I have no idea what might cause it to happen

Saw something similar with Nogfish, unless he did have a deleted alt.

In December of 2023 I added a background image to my profile. The memory of the actual process is hazy, but I still remember that I was pondering if I should have focused on the middle or the very top of the the image I used. (I take forever with stuff like that.) So there must have been some sort of method to shove the image up and down...
Looking at the reduced height of my background image, it is possible that I cut off the lower portion of the image not only out of bandwidth concerns but to move the focus the image that way. This might be a workaround that could help @OnyxGalaria. ;)

I can manually fix these by republishing the individual projects, the root cause probably goes back to some weird moment in history. Also giving Nogfish more hi-res thumbnails while I'm at it.
The text editing windows around Newgrounds look different in regards to space between paragraphs.
For example, let's generate some cupcake ipsum:
Tart cotton candy sweet marzipan ice cream. Sugar plum soufflé jujubes topping chupa chups caramels pudding apple pie brownie. Cookie pudding chocolate bar shortbread carrot cake candy canes. Gingerbread gingerbread jelly ice cream biscuit lollipop gummies tiramisu. Ice cream tootsie roll muffin chocolate cheesecake chocolate cake jujubes marzipan. Topping dragée biscuit topping brownie. Tiramisu marshmallow muffin bonbon lemon drops carrot cake cake. Jelly beans bear claw bonbon chocolate bar lemon drops. Danish cake gummi bears sesame snaps chupa chups jelly jelly-o. Bonbon lollipop candy canes croissant liquorice pudding.
This is how it looks when copy pasted:
After you post this, it will add space between the paragraphs, so the text you get looks visually different.
This gets bad with text windows you can edit multiple times – such as the long description in Project System – which will add more whitespace when you revisit the editing window, and you can end up with something like this:

Yep, I have been seeing that too. They’re *always “untitled”, lacks tags even for artists who have always used it prior to yesterday, and defaults to rated “E” regardless of content. My hunch is it could be a new issue regarding third-party posting sites no longer communicating correctly with Newgrounds after the site’s maintenance from yesterday.
Still seeing this one come up regularly, OviManic's addition was spot-on as well. The bug with the notifs and markup text seem to have been solved though!

Yeah, I’m getting a little frustrated seeing these mis-rated works popping up.
I hope it's a bug? Otherwise, the stats are VERY implausible. He also has a few more songs like this that have crazy differences between listens and everything else, with this song in the screenshot garnering 11,000 listens in NINE days!

Not a bug, this just means his song is used in one or more custom levels in Geometry Dash, which boosts the download stat but not listens (as people don't listen to the song via Newgrounds). It's covered a bit more in-depth in the FAQ.

I wouldn't have even written this post if GD didn't have just two very unpopular levels with this song. The weird thing is that the downloads are VERY low compared to the listens, which tells me it's definitely not Geometry Dash, because I know for a fact that 11,000 listens and 32 downloads is not normal, as if those listens were either bugged or botted in some way.

These are all ticketed, will hopefully be sorted out today or tomorrow.
For me on mobile Edge the past day or so, I will be in the middle of typing my text in the post box, and I believe I'm clicking in the text window but the message posts itself before I am finished.
