(even if my account is couple of months old i still want to do a introduction, also i have no idea how to do a introduction so sorry about that!!)

so hi i'm chipsoapart or chip for short, i post arts, i am working on a fan comic that has some ng characters in it, tbh i was originally gonna post my art and fan comics on DA but then my friend told me about newgrounds and even show me some of the stuff on here, so couple months later i joined on newgrounds to fulfill my dream of posting stuff! (sorry if this is getting to long 😓)

Aware of that part about the quote thing. Just felt like experimenting. But didn't realize doing that took away the notification ping. Good to know, so thank you!

Well the full phrase is 'a wild hair up my ass', but I didn't even realize I forgot to type in the crucial 'a' in the original post. Peeps who know the phrase would still prolly be going, "I think I know what he was trying to say, but it sounds like he just has fur in his butthole."

I'm not actually new, but I just discovered this thread and realized I never introduced myself proper.

I'm an artist who mostly does pixel art, though I occasionally dabble in traditional media. I'm into video games, retro cartoons, toys, and 80s music. I've spent too long on DeviantArt, and I've been looking for other, better places to hang out, and this place seemed perfect (as opposed to Twitter, which has been terrible). Moreover, I've been looking for motivation and inspiration to help me be a more active artist.

Actually I came from DeviantArt. Not only is it painful to try and find get attention and support, I've had a few pics taken down for drawing characters as adults. All the while, countless other artists do the exact same thing but DON'T get punished, and they don't take down pictures that actively violate their own rules; hypocrisy, ladies and gentlemen!

I do have a Twitter, but I HATE it. I don't get any likes or follows despite my best efforts, which I wouldn't mind so much if everybody else didn't get thousands and thousands of likes posting stupid crappy memes. And I don't even wan't to touch political drama there.

Anyway, I'm glad I found this place. People are a lot more friendly here.

Huh, didn't know they had such things going on over at DA too. Seemed more like the content regulation injustices you might find at Twitter and FB. Hopefully you don't run into any similar cases here. Usually it's the other way around, if characters aren't old enough...

The impression I've had with DA (from limited usage thereof - been a few years since I was there last now) is that it was a great place to find art, and photography - any form of amazing visual you might've wanted to see, but so much more difficult to actually reach through the haze and get people to see you. Not so much of a community aspect either. Felt like it was better for casual visitor than for the creator.

True that. Them politics in particular... I'm glad I never invested too much time in that place.
