While I am absolutely certain that your diligence is greatly appreciated, the chances that you found The Who's (or any other artist's) "secret Newgrounds account" are pretty much nil. And we have no responsibility to prove without the shadow of a doubt that they are not innocent. Submissions to not get deleted, they get un-published. If it was an honest mistake by both you and the Moderator who looked into the case, an artist can clear out the misunderstanding - if they care.

If something sounds like it was composed by a skilled musician, professionally recorded in a studio, and maybe even has lyrics... But the presentation looks as if they had invested less than two minutes into it... Then it is "almost certainly" stolen (or otherwise plagiarized with a "no effort"-method).

Try to picture a legitimate artist who chose to "take the result of endless hours of hard work, just toss it on NG with a presentation that looks like ass, and then never log in again to upload more of their work". And of course they do not promote their activity elsewhere or express themselves creatively on their NG-profile - as an artist!

It just doesn't make any sense...

So...

Usually, I try to shoulder something like this myself, because I feel my contributions in this regard are inadequate compared with what I "should" be able to flag. And I also dislike the thought that one offender spends a lazy 2 minutes on creating an NG account to upload the work of somebody else as their own and then multiple users have to invest almost the same time chasing them down and flagging them. Under regular circumstances, it's not worth having more than one person do that work.

But I stumbled about "one" track the other day where I could flag over 20 instances of "Stolen" with the same report:

It plays for 01:50 and has a very recognizable start.

At the time, I did not think much about the source. Because idiot kids usually just latch onto one song and then "just upload" it, instead of kindly asking the original artist to publish their original work on NG as well... (This is clearly their legal guardians' failure to communicate proper netiquette before letting their offspring use the internet unsupervised. I blame the parents!)

However, it seems, various accounts have uploaded various tracks by an artists who might or might not be called "c00lkidd":

And those are just the ones I stumbled into immediately.

There are seemingly [YouTube-Link] a lot of Killer Chase Themes on the Roblox Forsaken OST. And recognizing all of them is outside of what is doable for me. (I would not even play Roblox games, because Roblox Corporation, the company behind the platform is so exploitative [YouTube-Link], so I have zero contact with the stuff...)

So I am heeding my own advice/pep-talk of "You are not alone in this!" and give this to the part of our readers who silently follow along and who are not able to detect AI by ear or find stolen songs among uploads from before 2010.

There are two easy easy methods I can recommend:

- Either just search for the title, keywords and/or tags you see commonly used for those tracks (such as forsaken roblox)

- or set up a search for a certain length, like I demonstrated above.

In addition to that, look at other uploads from the same account (similar to the workflow I described recently) as well as what "their" fans are following. (Sometimes it's just one account that's following them that they likely created themselves - but sometimes you'll find a large haul of accounts that might point you to other stolen works.)

I quite often get asked how to get a "Deity" level Whistle status. Frankly, it takes a while, but if you are diligent, do not falsely report, and aren't reporting abusive or spam "Reviews" (because those seem to be a topic so controversial that it will get your posts deleted when you even try to discuss it... [which I just found out when I tried to link to that post of mine for reference])... then there is an infinitely replenishing number of whistle points out there, just waiting for you to pick them up.

Just, for the love of dog, remember that Newgrounds Moderators are real people. People who fill in this position voluntarily (= unpaid), and who would like to take a break. From what I've seen, if a "clever robot" was to do what I just described and merely considered tracks from the Roblox Forsaken OST, there would be easily 500+ flags in here. If you flagged 50 stolen uploads in a row, maybe call it a day and take a break from reporting until tomorrow.

Why wasn't this Suno AI audio deleted? I've already posted this here, but isn't deleted.

I recommend listening to this audio 100 times, because you will hear these crunchy artifact synthesizers. What can we say about the actual bitrate and spectrogram, where the lack of frequencies in the range of ± 16-20 kHz will be visible.

This account uploads Udio AI audio here, and he has a scout, and he is also a supporter of this site, but it doesn't really matter.

He uploaded 7 Udio AI audios here, and he even got some subscribers because he got a scout. Several users of this site have already been deceived by this user.

Guess who’s back. I’ll be a lot more active this summer compared to the last few months. I just did a fresh install of Linux, to speed up the awful performance I was having on Windows when trying to load a folder of MP3 files.

I am noticing when before I post here about unknown stolen songs, I always check in case weather the user only posted one song or two, and the title/desc says for GD, spam text, or Spanish, and it plays dubstep music. I even check the usernames. The next thing I notice and have someone check for me, they earn the whistle points, I don't.

Just so you know, the points don't matter to me, what matters the most is to have stolen content knocked off this site.

I know sometimes I can't stand leaving alone possible stolen stuff. Geometry Dash just destroyed this site, as well as AI which is even worse.

I dualbooted Linux and Windows, so if there is anything I desperately need to do on Windows, I still can. I left it as a backup.

I know this is a GD player because that song has just turned popular after the Demon level. This copied music seems it has been posted three days ago. In my experience, it's best to just report it and be on your way. It's not worth your time or energy to comment on an AI, stolen, or spam track. It just increases the likelihood that they will remove the track themselves and then avoid a ban, just to bring it back later, or post even more forbidden audio. Also, reviews that accuse or attack are not allowed, even if you are pointing out that something is obviously stolen. As annoying as stolen audio is, it's important to remember that this is probably just a kid, and I feel you are taking this too seriously. While I think it is insulting to the intelligence of children to call them stupid, kids definitely don't reason out things like adults do. They are still growing. I am not surprised with what they did, but I do empathize with your disappointment. At the end of the day, there's nothing malicious here, just a kid who really likes this song and a specific rhythm game while not understanding or caring enough about the complexities of copyright. This is nothing new. In the past few days I have reported stolen audio from this same game soundtrack at least 5 times. It's draining.

Anyway, I hope you have a nice day and can at least understand that this isn't the fault of you, just their immaturity.
