Hello. I noticed some strange artifacts in one of these and looking at the bitrate I highly suspect they are GenAI tracks, can anybody confirm that fact?

Not sure. I'm fairly certain it's not Suno AI though, as it doesn't have the same artifacts that Suno spits out. As for the bitrates, One of them is above 192kbps (Suno's max bitrate), the other is below. It could be another model such as Soundraw, but I'm hesitant on that.

It's still odd that they said it's made with FL studio, as it doesn't allow for mp3 exports at either of those bitrates to my knowledge. I guess it's not out of the question that they might've re encoded the file for whatever reason, but comparing those two to something they appear to have actually created (which happens to be at a bitrate that FL studio actually exports) makes me think it's not legitimate work either way.

Oh well, I guess trigger-happy reports like these are the reason I never get a gold whistle.

Soon its going to be 10 years this site was taken over by GD fans posting stolen music, why?

On 9th November 2014, that was when GD was turned into 1.9. At that point, robtop allowed music from NG. It went off great, I mean without GD, I wouldn't know famous artists such as PX9, TheFatRat, Dimrain47. But we didn't expect the site being raided by GD fans. When I played a skrillex song for example as a kid, I got sad at first finding out the song wasn't allowed. Learning the rules from NG changed my mind, because I would feel bad for Skrillex.

Now, I knew NG before GD, mostly from playing website games in the late 2000s, but I got way more knowledge from NG after GD. Again, GD changed Newgrounds in both a good and a bad way. It's crazy how Dimrain47 was already popular on NG before the game. He got way more famous after all the demon levels using his songs, but Dimrain is proud of it. PX9, too.

@G2961 brought this frontpaged track to my attention, and I share his suspicions that generative AI was involved here.

I suspect that this frontpaged song is either Suno or Udio AI. The mixing is off, and the sound of the trumpet/guitar thing sounds exactly like Suno. Not only that, but the bitrate of the track is 192kbps, the exact max output of Suno AI. Why would they upload it in that exact bitrate? While this is preset often listed on software, it isn't used very often, and is much lower quality than 320kbps. (Beepbox is the only software I know that uses this bitrate by default.) They might have added other instruments on top of it, but I think the underlying track was made entirely with AI. If anyone else has imput, that would be great.

Also, about the potentially AI generated frontpaged song, this user also supports the use of AI art (or at least they imply it) with this comic. It's not surprising that they would support AI music too.

As someone who uses KHinsider on and off, I can say that many of the songs there are very, very copyrighted. In fact, there is an entire list of gamerips that have been taken down over the years at the request of game publishers, a big one being all Sega games a few years ago.

I think one of today's frontpaged songs were made with Suno AI. It is "Advanced Technology NO MORE WAR", by zanaelf. First of all, listen to the vocals. Don't they sound scratchy? I know the user specified that the vocals were made with AI, but it sounds a lot like the vocals that Suno generates specifically. You can barely tell what they're saying in most parts. I think most (if not all) of the song was made with AI, not just the vocals. Second, the progression of the song sounds exactly like Suno AI. I cannot stress just how much it sounds like Suno. Listen from 4:14 onward. I've heard so many Suno AI tracks that sound exactly like that. There's also the classic "crusty high tones" style of artifacting at 03:08, even though it's far less pronounced than other Suno tracks, and could be the result of exporting at a low bitrate. Speaking of bitrate, that's what I looked at next. The metadata reported a bitrate of 320kbps, but looking at it in a sprectrogram reveals that it never goes beyond 19kHz, or a bitrate of 192kbps (max output of Suno AI). Hell, most of it never reaches beyond 16kHz, common when people don't cherry pick their generations enough. Only small amounts of fuzz reach up to the 19kHz threshold.

@G2961 and @ADR3-N, can you both take a look? What do you think?
