Yes, @Questtrek , you right! I immediately heard this Trance gate that I added to the end of my remix, as well as this long reverb at the end

This guy is scouted and made some decent remixes in the past, but it looks like he went to the dark side. Stinks too; I think I've listened to at least one of his songs in the past and enjoyed it. Anyway, I'm fairly certain these are Suno AI generations. The bitrate was changed, but it still sounds an awful lot like Suno. "Crusty high tones" is how I usually describe the artifacting, and you can really hear it on "Hata". Listen to the vocals on "Skies on Fire" too. I think there might have been a lazy drum track thrown on a couple of them too, but I think that they're mostly AI. The last song, "Drifting Away" I am less certain about, but I thought I should put it here anyway as it's their first non-remix track in a while, and is just barely triggering my internal AI alarm. I hear a slight whineyness on some of the highest notes, but it could just be how it was composed, as it's not nearly as obvious as "Hata",
P.S. Unrelated tangent, but I thought of a funny idea. Imagine making a track that isn't actually AI, but is made so that it sounds exactly like a Suno generation, garbled vocals and all. It would sound awful and that would be the entire point.
A brief search.

And I quote: "this was made by pokemondarkraia on yt also please scout me
i want to make a layout for this on GD"

They are basically their own parody... I know it's just kind of sad, but I cannot get over how funny this is...

@ADR3-N, how do bans work? I was under the assumption that it was IP based. If I accidentally vote on the same submission on my alt account, it doesn't go through, becasue my main account on the same IP already voted. I assumed that the same thing happens with bans, where it isn't just linked to the account, but the IP address too. Or is Morphyxe just getting around this with a VPN? Genuinely curious. Also, if you can't say how bans work because of security reasons or you just don't want to, I understand. Thought I might as well ask.
This will not load. Appears to be a codec issue.

Hi everyone, I'm so excited to be writing this post again! Because I found a user today who uploaded AI audio and made it to the main page today. I actually wanted to go to bed now, but this incident cheered me up really well.
@Questtrek please make sure of this, or there's little chance I could be wrong, but I'm still somehow sure I'm not wrong.
Introducing AleaAcademy. He made his music, it even made the front page, but he decided at one point that no one would notice that he was using AI. How wrong he was...
The most notable thing is that the very audio that sounds like AI songs can't be downloaded, but all of his other music can be downloaded with no problem. Most likely he didn't want anyone to see the coveted 128kbps, even though it already shows that it's 320kbps, but not a damn thing like that. I can even hear that it's not 320 kbps.

Yep, I agree that all these songs are AI, at least from what I'm hearing. The metadata of the songs have all been changed to 320kbps, but they're not even close to that. Also Suno AI exports up to 192kbps; 128kbps often indicates a stolen bandcamp or youtube track. That being said, your ears were were very accurate, as when analyzed in a spectrogram, all of these songs have a cutoff at 16kHz, which indicates that the original bitrate was around 128kbps. This is because Suno AI often will not reach the maxiumum bitrate if 192kbps, especially if the user does not cherry pick the best generation. So not only is AleaAcademy lazy, but they didn't even have the patience to find "good" Suno songs. Still though, you can see little bits of the songs jump up to 19kHz, indicating that it was most likely Suno, as a max frequency of 19kHz is indicative of a bitrate of 192kbps, the max output of Suno AI.
Example spectrogram of the song that was frontpaged:
Full spectrogram analysis here.
Who frontpaged this? It's not that hard to tell that it's AI, especially with the even lower bitrate than normal. All of AleaAcademy's AI songs have fairly low scores too. Even if people don't know they're AI, they can still hear that it's not that great. That's why I'm confused that "Aether Birb" got frontpaged.
This guy uploaded either Suno or stolen tracks in the past, and now they're back with a couple more Suno songs. They have a bit rate of 192kbps, and the user openly admits to them being AI in the description and tags. Repeat offender.

Also did some digging yesterday, and AleaAcademy has so many aliasses online and I wouldn't be suprised if they came back (or already have an alt account under the same name as one of these other aliasses. I doubt it will ever be as bad as Morphyxe, but I though I should mention it. Their other public music profiles include: NVAEIL, ZafkielA, silverdesired, Star Flux, cosmictrigger12, starfluxpiano, denofdesired, and probably more. Also, I find it strange that they deleted their account. Most of their other work wasn't AI and actually sounded pretty good.

Sadly, they (@AleaAcademy) deleted their account. So, that’s it.
Well, that's that problem solved. Sure, whatever legit work he's made has gotten wiped as well, but if the guy was going for AI, it probably wasn't all that great anyway.
icooki3 deleted his account because audio got deleted and created his new account again but still uploaded his stolen songs. It's look like he getting away with it . this is 3 times already.

And he's already scouted too, just great. I'm definitely more of a NG user than a GD user, but even I know that icooki3 is generally not a great guy (to put it very lightly). I briefly listened to a couple of his songs, how does he steal them? Is he just uploading other people's remixes and claiming it to be his own songs, or is he "remixing" other peoples' music while not adding much of anything? I''ll take a closer look later maybe. In the meantime report what you know is stolen; you have more experience with him and his various accounts than I do.
I had a quick look as well: It seems some songs are co-authored by one other NG artist with 2 scouted accounts. So that's "probably" how he got scouted so quickly.

If you suspect someone of creating a new account to evade a ban and steal music for GD, even if you're not sure, you can @TomFulp. We can check for these things.
I've been looking at this account for a while and just not familiar enough with the material to make a judgement one way or the other

You're right. A lot of rule breakers or would-be rule breakers will try to collab with scouted artists OR just add them to their projects for no reason in order to get scouted via the wider portal exposure.
Really makes me think we should limit the scout feature in some way to members who have been in the portal for years, or supporters, or users manually approved to scout by mods/staff. Be on the lookout and always investigate an unscouted account featured alongside a scouted account.

I think he got deleted again! Yippe!
Not feeling well, which is a shame because I had art I wanted to complete, but in my off time I found a few AI songs:
Suno:
Take a look at this:
Made with Udio v1.5. It says so in the file metadata. Also, on YouTube it is labeled as "IA Music". They know what they're doing. This is scary, but there's still some artifacting on the vocals and the drums. They appear to be preemptively diverting focus away from how this song was made by saying it was for "entertainment purposes". Udio scares me a lot more than Suno does, I hate both of them all the same.
Stolen:
Mildly suspicious of these two:
Also the profile image makes me think it's clarozh, someone who uploaded AI tracks a while back, but it could just be a coincidence, considering it is a random character from an old mobile game.
Spam:
My apologies to approach the readers with something so bland, compared to AI hunting, but you (Yes: "You, dear reader.") are the best option I have left:
I do not know a whole lot about the process of creating music in the digital age, therefore I am uncertain what to flag and what not to in this situation, so I was hoping somebody here might be up to the task:
- The Audio Guidelines (Music Maker Restrictions) currently state: "You may not upload music made with [...] BandLab (the mobile app, not Cakewalk)."
- There is a looooong list of Audio Portal submissions tagged as being created using BandLab.
- I suspect that a bunch of those submissions were actually created in Cakewalk and just have been tagged wrong - because artists on NG usually aren't the best at tagging their stuff.
- I also suspect that some artists who created tracks in BandLab will sometimes have been inconsistent with tagging their work as #BandLab, so there might be additional digging involved.
If somebody wants to help in the Audio Portal (or just wants to earn a ton of whistle points) and can reliably tell the difference between tracks created in BandLab and those created in Cakewalk (or other audio editors), this is their chance. But please don't just flag hundreds of submissions willy-nilly! We should make the Audio Portal moderators' job easier - not harder...
A belated "Thank you!" to @wolfatthedoor, for bringing up that, "Yes, sometimes people who upload tracks to the Audio Portal are just that obvious and/or ignorant!"

The reason this DAW was disallowed FYI is: when these rules were written, BandLab was either incapable of anything besides loop music (duplo) OR the loops were under funky licensing that prohibited publishing. Similar apps like Music Maker Jam had the same deal.
So the real test of whether you should flag a BandLab submission is: is it duplo music (more than 50% loop spam), or do you know the rights to the samples prohibit distribution?

Thank you for clarifying. You are the best, @ADR3-N! I hope you'll have a nice, relaxing weekend for a change.
If I could still update my post to incorporate that bit of information, I would. (If one of the forum moderators can use their powers to add a line to my post reading "Also read ADR3-N's explanation below before you run off flagging stuff." I would be totally okay with that.)

both of these songs are the exact same! I’m not sure if reposting counts as against the rules but if it is, here’s @wiscmz’s account. He also posted in the frontpage suggestion thread his own audio, which is against the thread rules. I’m not sure if this even is his audio, or if it’s stolen! But check him out, he seems suspicious.
