I'll start with some user of this site who got Frontpaged to one of "his songs" using udio beta, and this happened much more recently, namely on June 8, 2024.

However, I just decided today to just look at songs with the word "Pixel" as I noticed that Suno AI and udio are basically generating songs with titles with that word in them, if the prompt is going to say anything about video games.
I can assure you that the song that even got Frontpaged used extra processing to somehow try to make it sound less raw than the usual udio generation. However, he felt he was omnipotent after getting Frontpaged and didn't even bother with the new song, and that to me gave me the correct statement that it was udio, since the file description said "Udio v1"
@TomFulp I ask you to be careful if you think about putting a song like this on the front page in the future. I recommend that you simply ignore this song, or if you can prove for yourself that it is an AI song, simply remove it from this creative audio portal. Sometimes even the fact that the author of such a similar song wrote that he used some VST plugins, it cannot be a solid proof.

Okay, some may not know, but GarageBand has a Stock Loop-like program that's in any handy genre, and this is the case here. I tried doing something in GarageBand too in 2021, but I haven't forgotten to this day the sound of the built-in Stock Loop-like thing. Whoever has an iPhone - check out the Live Loop feature. Even if it doesn't say anything about Live Loop in the audio portal rules, it would be a good idea to put Live Loop on the banned instrument list, since it's not its own work, per se.
How do I understand that this is a Live Loop feature? I heard that drop right away, which is in the EDM genre section if I'm not mistaken, and it's been a while since I've owned an iPhone and GarageBand itself.
It seems to me that the copyright system worked correctly, and Tom Fulp still returned this song, I haven't heard the same thing in any of his other songs, but I ask that those who own an iOS device to GarageBand check this out.

I flagged him too, I'm surprized the songs are still up. And yeah, his reaction is pretty funny. I generally don't interact with people like that unless I'm trying to help, because they're a musician; they know what they're doing. It's not like your average GD player which I can actually help by pointing them towards LMMS, Cakewalk, or Bosca Ceoil, this is someone who knows how to make music and got lazy. Also I generally don't call people out in the comments for using AI anymore, as I've seen users then hide "their" music and come back later, doing their best to make it seem less AI. I also got a comment ban for a week, because you're not supposed to accuse anyone of anything there (might be more than that, not entirely sure).
I've never understood people that talk about how generative AI is somehow "the future" when all it is made of is data from the past. There's no actual innovation (at leat not yet). But yeah, I hope either Tom or ADR3-N look at that user and confirm that some of the most recent songs are a majority AI.

@G2961 As @Questtrek has already pointed out, there is nothing johnnyq1233 could sue for - not in the US and not anywhere else. To take apart the report system for a second: The Newgrounds servers are private property and even if there were neither ToS nor Audio Portal Guidelines, Mr. Fulp could delete uploaded data as he pleased. I can pretty much guarantee you that the tracks in question were reported by multiple users, once word got out. That's comparable to "calling someone" about a situation. Then that someone, be it a authorized member of the moderation staff or Tom Fulp himself made the actual decision to remove. And nobody using AI to create songs for them can complain that they did not see it coming. At the time of me typing, the very first sentence in the Audio Guidelines is "Do not upload AI-generated audio!" That user had to click "Agree" a few times to info boxes letting him know the site rules. There's no excuse there.
To be fair: AI could be used to aid* the creation of audio, but the member of the moderation staff decided that this was not the case for the uploads that were removed.
(* I think AI voices might be okay to use on Newgrounds if you feed it your own voice as a pattern. I'm not an expert on this and I can't remember my source. Do your own research and don't quote me on that! Also: Rules might change.)
But even if johnnyq1233 took a lawyer... Any judge who would take the time to look at this would ask for the actual projected damages and the site's Terms of Service, even if the other side didn't even show up for the first hearing. Because judges don't want to show up in the press as some kinds of dinosaurs who do not even understand the stuff they are supposed to judge for. (We are talking about humans here - not mindless parts in a machine.) But @johnnyq1233 would 100% find a lawyer willing to take the case. Lawyers need to eat and people want to "at least try...". I would not morally judge any lawyer indulging such a client. It will be one consultation meeting, one or two letters, one visit to court (if even that), and of course one invoice in the lower triple digits for a job that doesn't even impact their track record because the matter was dismissed immediately. I find them earning money that way considerably less dubious than defending a client who run over a dog.
I hope that helped to calm everybody's nerves a bit and made the situation as transparent as humanly possible.
While johnnyq1233 sounds absolutely divorced from the real world in those PMs, the account exists since 2008 and at a glance his behavior towards the community in past years looked rather positive. This is 100% speculation on my part, but maybe another person got their hands on that account. Maybe a phone got stolen. Maybe the person who originally created the account and a grand-kid got the PC. Maybe he is on heavy medication at the moment and isn't himself right now. Maybe he's too ashamed to admit he did wrong and got caught and went temporarily insane. We have no way of knowing for sure.
Please(!) do not write reports about "That account might be compromised... Maybe... Idunno..." to Tom Fulp unless you have any new information that resembles actual evidence. Because the only thing Mr. Fulp could say in return would be "Idunno either..."
I admit that I can understand anyone who would find this situation interesting/fascinating/funny, and I am not a moderator, but it would probably be for the best if the topic-migration in the Audio Portal Cleanup wouldn't be taken further than it already has. ;)

This guy went to the dark side. What a shame.
This guy has been on Newgrounds for a long time only to come back after nearly 20 years with a Suno track. The spectrogram cuts off at 19kHz, indicating a bitrate of 192kbps, the max output of Suno. Vocals sound typical of Suno too. A past YouTube video by them show them already leaning into AI prompts, so I’m not surprised they just started using Suno.
