this one would be somewhat difficult to determine and in many occurrences, this would then pass because we have to assess the originality of the piece. If I take the lyrics and then break them up to make them more of an instrument rather than a message of what the singer is trying to convey then the original intent of they lyrics is kinda lost. a mod will likely allow this one to pass as a result

if the original video that is being used is copyrighted, and the first flagged entry is removed under the use of the copyrighted audio, any subsequent items that use the same audio or similar audio, uploaded or downloaded from any source, are also subject to removal. it's not a promise that they will be removed, but it's a good bet that if one song is similar to the next, and one gets removed, the next will be too

however... all audio is subject to its own examination and determination. we HAVE to be fair in that process

submissions need to clearly break the rules to be flagged, and a determination needs to be done by a mod where a piece is bending a rule

the point numbers are hidden from view, they are a cumulative score on how you do on your flagging
you see how people have gold, or silver or deity whistle status? and then equally normal and garbage whistle status?
just the same as you can go up in whistle rank, you can also go back down in whistle rank

with enough correct flags, you will upgrade your whistle rank, if you incorrectly flag items you will see your own whistle rank go from normal to garbage

the way to tell that your flags are not accepted is that if you post a piece in the audio cleanup thread and a few days later you see the same post up and the items that you have flagged are not removed, then the flagging that you gave the piece was not accepted. hence a false flag

it is then up in the air on IF the mod that reviewed your flag saw that you were being kind and trying your best to defend newgrounds, or if you are just flagging things absent-mindedly.

honest flags usually get dismissed and closed and no negative points are given

being an asshole and flagging things incorrectly again and again... and again... gets you a negative point rating

1 bad flag does not equal 1 good flag

we cant pin down the number but on average a bad flag equals somewhere between 2-5 positive flag points
