A general question: are remixes of well-known tracks allowed and if yes then how much "remixed" should they be to be legal - or otherwise reported?

Tracks should be in the public domain, creative commons, or otherwise not copyrighted. For remixes of music from NCS, MonsterCat, etc, there should be clear permission from the artist and label.

If it's something you might hear on a top 40 (Marshmello, etc) then chances are good it can't be legally submitted.

If in doubt, toss a flag, and we'll sort it out on our end. There are a few artists who are signed in the audio portal, as well as a few labels (like TheFatRat's Arcadium label). We get a flag on Arcadium at least weekly by people who mean well.
