i've never heard the band. the way you made it sound and the way i know trivium plays i figured it was better.

if they relegated heafy to just guitar and off vocals and then changed the way it all sounded then i would be happier

Yah. Probrably too much media exposure. Some exposure is good but it will probrably kill a band. Look what happened with Metallica. Iron Maiden got a lot of it too but, they're still managing to keep the metal rolling.
My introduction to Thrash metal:)

I'm not sure. All I've heard by them sounds equally good, IMO. They're also pretty funny in a childish way. I think the majority of the songs I heard from them were from Beauty and the Beer and Kings of Beer.

Is it all as awesome as Stormbringer Ruler?
What's do you all think of Throes of Dawn?
I've been into them for quite a while, but never heard of anyone hear mentioning them. :)
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.
I am thinking of writing a concept album.
Problem: Need a guitarist and a drummer. Actually, if worst comes to worst, I'll just program the drums.
Also, I need a vocalist. I don't have a mic for my recording equipment.

I'd say now, they're as great as they were in the 80s.
