Well, for the most part, metal and symphonies are very complicated and require concentration to compose and pick up on. Despite the general idea most people conclude from metal, metal (at least the tasteful kind) includes many different sounds and instrumentals, and of course requires someone to focus hard enough to understand what the lead singer is saying.
