I love how there's a harsh system for users to come in, and all we do is talk about crap we already know about.
This place should really welcome newcomers to metal. They would obviously realised if nobody wanted to talk about bands whicha re considered shit here.
Dunno what it is about this exclusive club complex.

When I look for albums I just type in the artist name, the album then the word "rapidshare" or "megaupload" into google, and sites like that pop up all the time.

Oh, shut your butt with the debating already.
We'll see when he posts.
And just like that....he was gone...
Hey guys, I made another one of those videogame music videos. I used a Power Metal song this time. Iced Earth - Wolf. Yes, I am aware Video games don't have much to do with Metal. Though I swear that this video screams Power Metal. It's full of epicness. Anyway, Here it is.

You're forgiven.
This whole debate went nowhere, like all of the Idio vs. Nev debates.

I never new how incredible symphonic metal is. Even without the screams, it's like power metal mixed with speed and a dash of all the others.
Well, lads, it's that time again!
Album: Paradise Lost
Artist: Symphony X
Genre: Power metal
Track Listing:
Oculus Ex Inferni
Set the World on Fire
Domination
Serpent's Kiss
Paradise Lost
Eye of Seduction
Walls of Babylon
Seven
The Sacrifice
Revelation
Description:An amazing album from Symphony X, the American masterminds who brought you The Odessey. This album combines some elements of neo-classical metal with power metal, and some almost classic rock-y songs. With powerful riffs, brilliant vocals, and a drummer on a fucking crusade, Paradise Lost is a must buy for anyone who's ever listened to Power Metal. Though not out yet in shops, it has been leaked, as is the case with every brilliant invention
Verdict:
It could have gone so wrong, power metal and classical, but in this case, it was the rightest thing that could have happened...EVER.
Rating:
5/5
Aren't Symphony X Prog?
New Dream Theater album tomorrow (for us Brits).
Anyone picking it up?

Yar that album is pretty damn hot.
Would have loved a 20 minute epic like The Odyssey though :(

Tomorrow? Thought it was the 6th...
Unless you've preordered it then I guess you get it sooner.
I'll get it either this week, or when my exams have finished, the special edition one that is :D
I've got the cover art of the special edition album as my desktop wallpaper. It's damn hot. Much better than the standard edition.

5th is for the yanks or something apparently.
Its out the 4th in UK.
Kudos to Bahamut for spotting that.

I agree :).
I'd quite like the normal cover too though :(. The fanboy in me can't resist.
I've been listening to bit of Gothic Metal today.
Samsas Traum
Lacuna Coil
old Within Temptation (The new stuff sucks. Sounds too much like Evansenses.)
Whats your favourite Cannibal Corpse album an why?
Mines The Bleeding, mainly for just the overall sound of the album, the quality i guess, amazingly memorable riffs, and I for one enjoy Barnes' vocals, even the high pitch vocals.

I think Barnes sucks ass, so my favourites (in order) are:
Bloodthirst
Vile
Kill
Gallery of Suicide
I'd have to say:
Eaten Back To Life
Vile
Bloodthirst
The Wretched Spawn

I haven't heard Bloodthirst or Vile but I would place Kill above Gallery of Suicide.
I downloaded Drudkh - Blood In Our Wells today. Great album.
Anybody mind sending me some Shores Of Sheol songs/albums?

You MUST. Especially the former. Liked so much that I bought it.

I had to learn the bass lines to the whole Paranoid album as well as their Self Titled. The bass lines are pretty difficult, for Geezer Butler is one of the greatest bassists ever, and his bass followed the guitars exactly.
cool. I've been really wanting to get both of those albums as well as other Black Sabbath works.

I've had some problems with Panora before. Killsiwitch Engage, HIM, and other shit have come up, but I still find Pandora to be useful. When I reach my hourly limit of skipping, I just switch to another station, and I have a lot of stations.

Led Zeppelin disbanded 27 years ago my friend.

That's death metal. Try stuff before Satanica.

Gay. I would never go to that.

All I got for you is melo-death. Check out
Amon Amarth
Vehemence
Dark Tranquillity
Fragments of Unbecoming
The Black Dahlia Murder
Neuraxis
Pandemonium (blackened)
That's all I got for you. Unfortunately, melo-death is a dying genre.

They're that good? I didn't really love CC that much, but I'll have to check those albums out.

Great.

Meh, the lineup has some gems in it... for me anyway. Dream Theater clearly being the major one :D.
And its a five day affair.... so its a good experience/party atmosphere :).
I'm going to Ozzfest this year. My aunt and her fiance are taking me there. Mu aunt's fiance goes there almost every year. The line-up this year is a lot better.
The bands I want to see there:
Lamb Of God (I don't give a shit if it's Metalcore)
Lordi
Behemoth
Nile
3 Inches of Blood
DAATH
Cthonic
Everything else either sucks or are bands I don't care much for.

What release do you have so far?
Goatchrist, are there any Shores of Shoels releases available in stores. I can't seem to find any here.
I've downloaded a couple of Nile songs, and just gave a little flicker to see what they're like.
They seem fine, but not what I hoped for...
Which brings me to this question.... bands similar to Necrophagist..... know any that might interest me?
Surely there must be a band that right songs like Stabwound continuous :D?
