When I think of pirates, I prefer to think of the island of Tortuga, if we have to associate everything to do with pirates with that film. But it is a great series nonetheless.
I personally loved all three of the POTC movies.
Some people said they didn't like it and I asked why and they didn't give me a good explanation. If you don't have a three hour attention span, and don't recall anything from the other two movies, then you might as well already hate it. The movie is fucking epic, and if you're not epic (or not into pirates) don't bother with it.

Eh, closest your gonna get to that is Heavendust probably. Classed as Alt Metal I believe, they aren't actually bad. They manage to mix up Japanese traditional music and drums into the songs quite nicely. Not very heavy though. But worth a listen at least in my mind.
But anyway, Ninjas are suppsoed to be subtle and unobtrusive. Two words which can not really be used to describe Metal. So anything like Ninja Metal just wouldn't work. It either wouldn't be proper metal, or it wouldn't be ninjaey enough.

Crap, My Metal band broke up, after months of struggling to get awesome metal into the ears of the people in my town, and failing.
In the end, we just met up, and said "before we quit, we've gotta play some crazy metal" , our last song together was an INSANE cover of Slayer's " Angel of death"
