My friend, welcome to the club.
We are horsemen/metal detectors. In theory, we fulfill both jobs.
Here I am, bored with everything.

I'm happy with horse ridding metal detectors.

Got the gear, got the gas, got compression. My direction is cast to the concrete.

no. I don't listen to any of their stuff, new or old.
Centurion-Ryan, I noticed you like some power metal. Soooo, maybe I could get you into some bands. They would be more obscure however.
Avantasia (TakeNoPrisoners :P)
Axenstar (Again TNP)
Iced Earth (pretty popular power-thrash)
Blind Guardian (Again popular)
Firewind (Greek Power FTW!)
Those are just some, but it seems to fit you. It will make you more "metallic" dare I say.

yeah. i do like some of their stuff. good for normal, no speeding driving, but thats not how i usually do it. power/thrash/speed/extreme metal for MY normal driving. \,,/ hehe.
Fast, faster, faster, faster. Speeding always kills. Nothing else takes us to get these thrills. Ready to explode. Don't want nothing left of me to scrape off the road

You bring about the apocalypse with the random metal objects you discover whilst beach combing?
The A-team would be proud :P
Question:
What's everyone's favourite cover of a non-metal song by a metal band.
I've heard a few but the one I like the best is Graveworm's cover of I need a hero by Bonnie Tyler.
I've been trying to get a hold of A metal version of Abbas 'Dancing Queen' done by
but alas no such luck :-( Have been unable to get it.

Yes. With stylishly groomed hair and black suits to boot. ;)

Um... that'd have to be Inna Gadda Davida by Blind Guardian.

The imagery that appeared in my head after reading that is just hilarious. It's such a shame that you all can't see it :-(

Anything thats not by Bodom.
Their covers are the worst! I'm sure Laiho makes them thinking 'LOL IF I COVER BRITNEY SPEARS IT'LL BE FUNNY NO MATTER HOW SHITTLY DONE IT IS'.

Anyway, I got Valley of the Damned and Fury of the Storm today.
I almost thought you were Nev when you made that post. :S

Take deep cleansing breaths then imagine him getting run over by a truck. Works every time for me :-)
Judas Priest's cover of Johny B. Goode is hilarious, but its bloody awesome.
Also do the covers on Dream Theater's A Change of Seasons count?
Cos if so, they're pretty hot.

Adding all the above to my list of 'Things to do/get on Saturday'
Cynic have been confirmed for Download.
I've never heard them... but this is good yes :)?

If it were any festival other than Download, then it would be good. But Download sucks. It's for bands and people that think they're/ into metal when in reality all they are listening to is prissy pop punk and the occasional metal-core band.
When Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance are headlining a festival, you something is wrong.
