After reading the past few pages, what do you expect? I know stereotypes are shitty, and everyone goes through them, and ya, some are more 'serious' than others, but so what? if people want to be ignorant, why bother with them, or associate with them if they can't even get that beyond themselves.
But I think anyone here should even expect it, as well. I mean, look at what you're listening to. Sure, it's nothing horrible to us, and we interpret it one way, or listen to our shit for x amount of reasons...But can you REALLY blame an outsider who is watching a person listen to something scream about brutal, inhumane, or torturous deaths, and them wondering if you are mentally stable, or not depressed, or anything of the sort?
Ignorance isn't ALWAYS malicious. It can be as innocent as someone asking a homosexual how they figure out when one turns gay..or how they can be attracted to cock. And some will never come to understand how someone can listen to such violence and not be upset about something to a very deepening level, since those two tend to come together.
It's just something basic you put together...where as everyone here is in a way much deeper level of why they listen to what they listen to.
LIke I said, it's shitty, but it's going to happen. So when you KNOW it's going to happen, and you KNOW what you're listening to is a shock to most of society, especially when they can only know from looking out to in and just see a bunch of kids listening to angry music and hurting themselves in a mosh pit, then you should learn to accept the mentality that they aren't worth the time of your day, and aren't worth getting riled up about.
Because eventually, stereotypes do wear you down and DO make you angry, and next thing you know, you are the stereotype. or maybe not. Who knows. But who cares? It's like all teenagers are shoplifters, and lack morale and discipline and yadda yadda. Some of it's true, some of it's not. Big woop. Does it change you in the end? No. Then fuck 'em.
When that guy shot up our school and everyone was on edge and quitting school and all that none sense, people always asked us, "are you scared what people will think of you now!?"
we always said, fuck no! That guy was a poser ass, and he doesn't represent a thing what we are. Are we shooting schools? no. Cause we're not posers, we're a brotherhood.
And what did Megadeth do? They came and played A Tout La Monde beause they weren't going to let some asshole " take away our song" .
Some poeple will forever be clueless and some are instinctly malicious. Oh well. If anything, it's always a smile on my face when you prove them so wrong, by doing the so non expected good deed towards a person blatantly judging you. And you do it because you're the bigger person in the end. Being spiteful just makes it worse.
