Woo, just got Evergrey - Recreation Day. I've heard mixed reviews about this album, although most good, so i'll report back later with my views.

\m/

Just heard Amorphis - Black Winter Day. That is a really good song, one of their only ones that I consider good.
I'll go listen to Entombed - Night Of The Vampire later on, I just can't get enough of the song.

If words were wisdom, I'd be talking even more.

Sepultura - Kaiowas
Sepultura - O' Matador
Fear Factory - Full Metal Contact(not that good, though)

Just try it.

and Tsar, try the official nightwish homepage, or just googling, I'm you'll find samples, they had about 4 on their homepage, a few weeks ago.

So, has anyone heard of "Hypocrisy" yet? I think they are pretty good, have a new album on the start, called "The Arrival"

Response to Metal Hell 2004-06-26 11:50:08

I haven't posted here in a while.

Well, my Metallica shirt came yesterday. It has the Master of Puppets album cover on the front (which is enlarged), and on the back it has the song titles.

Sweet! When I start my job, I'll buy lots of t-shirts, etc. I can't wait :)

It seems my post was overlooked so I'll ask again. Have any of you heard of any Israeli bands such as Melechesh, Salem and Orphaned land?

Nope. Highly doubtful that any of us has.

Well actaully I'm not asking though there's no chance of a positive answer. In fact Melechesh is on a world tour right now and Salem's albums can be found in many European counties. In fact their lirycs are on Darklyrics.com so apparently people outside the country have heard of them.

I actually hate their old singer, means the one that sung on "Tomb of the Mutilated" Barnes sucked and went to his shitty six feet under.

Corpsegrinder rocks though :) They have become way better and slowed down in their songs.

It's too bad they don't have much else worth listening to...

What you need is Akercocke "Son of The Morning." I've revived my fanatical devotion to the Brit Black/Death Metal band.

Woo, 2000 posts for the thread. <3

Anyways, I recently bought the Mayhem "European Legions" DVD... for a live black metal performance, I thought they did really good. You know, some bands can really fuck up pulling off black metal live, but I really must commend them. Although I don't necessarily agree with them using "The True" with their name, as it can never be "The True Mayhem" without Euronymous, I still think this was a great album/DVD. Check it out if you're a Mayhem fan!

NO! This club can't die! NO! It was on page three! Post something!

By the way, I advise you all to listen to
Amorphis - Black Winter Day
it's got something for everyone. I mean it's melodic black with some normal singing and a touch of heavy metal.

Black Winter Day is awesome...but its only a single. Get "Tales From A Thousand Lakes" instead.

Response to Metal Hell 2004-06-28 20:47:19

Amorphis is good but Agalloch is better. :P

Yeah, I heard from that :)

BTW, anyone else likes Graveworm? German Melodic Black Metal. Awesome.

www.graveworm.de

I'll see them on 30th July, along with about 3 or 4 other bands.

Soilwork = melodic Gothenburg death metal. Which doesn't mean it's bad; I love Soilwork, but I tend to prefer harder and heavier things.

On a side note, Eggos are good.

Indeed they are. \m/

Hello, metalheads. Just popping in from Politics. I don't really post that much in General right now, due to the bit of slackening quality in the threads lately. Anyone needs me, I'll be in the Regular's Lounge in Politics. Hell, just post in there anyway, we need some new blood.

Response to Metal Hell 2004-06-29 17:49:29

I've taken to listening to Skyfire as of late.
"Shapes of Insanity" is a really good track. Mrm.
