Okay, so for all you little fucks out there that don't actually know what rap is, it's music made by a predominant population of black people.
It used to be (and some still is) made for music, but most of it now is made by black people to make money after getting out of prison, to ge tback on their feet.
So, any questions?
Also, penis.
Type O Negative is awesome, especially since my mom grew up in Peter Steele's neighborhood, although they don't know each other. I still like my boys from Brooklyn, and Carnivore still is my favorite thrash band.
I will continue to say that until someone else besides Marko listens to them.
Here I am, bored with everything.
outside of metal i listen to a few ambient/dark ambient/noise musicians but thats more for relaxation and working purposes, and i got into those through later Beherit stuff and Burzum. But im not a rap fan.. not anymore...

I will refer you to my statement made a few posts ago: NO MOAR RAP TALK. I don't know who brought it up, and I don't care. Just stfu about the rap and let's at least put SOME effort into staying on topic.
Genres I listen to outside metal?
Loads of classic rock and 90's alternative. Some modern hard rock bands (ex Chevelle, Clutch, etc.) Lots of prog rock (ex. Tool, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Yes, Spock's Beard, Marillion, the Mars Volta, etc.), hardcore (ex. Biohazard, Bad Brains, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Agnostic Front, etc.) Classical (Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner, Copland, etc.) Jazz (ex. John Coltrane, Louis Armstrong, James P. Johnson, Bessie Smith, John Zorn, King Oliver, etc.) ambient/dark ambient, (Brian Eno, Lustmord, SPK, Whitehouse) and some Hip-hop (Run DMC, Public Enemy, Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash, Jedi Mind Tricks, KRS-One, etc.)
Yeah.
Here I am, bored with everything.

Do so.
Any songs from their Slow Deep and Hard album would do.

Sounds pretty fucking metal. Haha.
Also, I was listening to my Zune this morning and Cky came on. Now I know I might sound like a queer asking this but is Cky considered metal?
Some of their songs have really heavy guitar, so I was just wondering.

Yes it does.

No. Heavy guitars don't make anything metal.

Wooden carts are heavy.
It doesn't make them metal.
If you get my analogy.
Anyone here listen to any Reverend Bizarre? ive got In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend and its some really nice doom metal and worth a look into if you are that way inclined :)

Yeah, I got it. How long did it take you to think of that?
Kay, I finally got round to listening to Tankard.... and OMG.... well good :D.
Ok I missed 6 pages in two days. Wow.
So here is a story....
I was riding the bus home today and I hear some type of music in this kid's earphones and ask him which band it was. He's say Limp Bizkit. I don't think these guys have been brought up before. Has there ever been a worse band? Seriously? No. These guys are the epiphany of bad. Rap rock was a bad trend. They started it. Fred Durst got my favorite radio station at the time - Y100 - shut down. Ugh. Fuck 'em.

yeah they suck. never understood how some ppl think they are metal. They have to be one of the most hated bands around since even some kids i know who listened to limp bizkit a few years ago now hate the band and deny ever liking them.

Maroon 5.
Seriously.
Oh, and Nev, you listen to only old Green Day?
And just like that....he was gone...
Right, so a few months ago I tried to join but the list of bands I called out made me borderline so I didnt bother posting. Now that I'm into even more metal bands I guess I'll start again.
I just want to say, I am no noob when it comes to music! I've 3,500+ songs on my mp3 player and would have more if my crappy mp3 player had more space.
So, I'll list some of the bands I like. Cradle of Filth, Satyricon, Arch Enemy, Lamb of God, Enslaved, Gorgoroth, Belphagor, Mastodon, Trivium, Metallica, Megadeth, and lots, lots more. Cant be bothered posting them.

Quality over quantity.
My friend has 1000 songs, with mostly HIM, Slipknot, and Korn.

They're pretty bad. Limp Bizkit is worse. They use a DJ. What is he doing there? They rhymed the word "with" with "with." That's pretty band. They sing about the most cliche, stereotypical rock/metal/rap stuff. Breaking things, breaking up with people, taking command of "his way." Horrible. At least with Maroon 5 they don't have a DJ.

Fergie?
What's worse than Maroon 5 that you know. Besides modern pop.
