I was gonna ask for some help, I've hit a bit of a dead end with my music at the moment, so I'd like you guys to recommend me a few bands to check out.
Can do.
Singing and Melody.
I'm not too familiar to those kinda vocals in metal...
To elaborate, by Singing I mean when the vocals hold notes
I call "singing" grunting, shrieking, growling, not pussy singing.
As for melody, it's pretty straight forward, I love the technical, sweeping riffs in many Bodom songs, and there are some really nice rhythms in a few Iced Earth songs.
Never mention them again here. They are despised.
All the bands I listen to at the moment are -
Children of Bodom
They're acceptable but hated.
Metallica
Not a fan, but acceptable.
System of a Down
No.
Iced Earth
Dunno.
Disturbed
No.
Slipknot (3ish songs, where the singer actually sings instead of shouting, etc.)
No.
Noooo.
NOOO!!
FinnTroll (Only really like 1 or 2 songs, need more Viking / Folk metal!)
Dunno.
Papa Roach ( I know, I'm sorry. :( )
Fuck.
Fuuuuuck.
FACK!!
Help me out?
Here are the bands I listen too. Try them.
Decrepit Birth - Of Genocide is all instrumental. Get Await the Undending too.
Kataklysm - As I Slither.
Carcass - Black Star.
Devourment - Baby Killer and Choking on Bile.
Exhumed - Bone Fucker.
Goratory - Infant Skin Suitcase.
Gorgasm - The Essense of Putresense.
Knights of the Abyss - Welcome to Camelot.
Lord Gore - Morgue Whore.
Necrophagist - Demished to Be.
Suffocation - Peirced from Within
Vehemence - God Was Created <--good.

Seriously, I really do get high/drunk on air. I start laughing for no reason and then I start literally rofling. Then I feel weird and get a headache for 4 minutes.
Try weed, you won't get headaches. Unless you already do, then try Whip-Its for an inhalant (sp?)
And did anyone know GoatChrist's old name was - KornfreakeR? lol, we all started with shitty tastes.
