Hey guys, I think we might have gotten off on the wrong foot, which was probably my fault, so I'd like to apologize for anything I've said to offend you.
I was gonna ask for some help, I've hit a bit of a dead end with my music at the moment, so I'd like you guys to recommend me a few bands to check out.
Before I make any sort of a list, I'd say that what attracts me most to the music I like is 2 things - Singing and Melody.
To elaborate, by Singing I mean when the vocals hold notes and you can sorta understand the words, for example 10,000 fists by Disturbed, or Toxicity, by System of a Down.
As for melody, it's pretty straight forward, I love the technical, sweeping riffs in many Bodom songs, and there are some really nice rhythms in a few Iced Earth songs.
All the bands I listen to at the moment are -
Children of Bodom
Metallica
System of a Down
Iced Earth
Disturbed
Slipknot (3ish songs, where the singer actually sings instead of shouting, etc.)
FinnTroll (Only really like 1 or 2 songs, need more Viking / Folk metal!)
Papa Roach ( I know, I'm sorry. :( )
