Those sorts of bands are in the "metal" section of all high street record shops in Britain. The staff know such bands aren't metal, but I expect it's put in the metal section because they think the kind of people looking there will also be interested in that sort of music. ...And considering that the metal section will contain a lot of really mainstream "metal" such as Shitknot, Trivium, Avenged Sevenfold etc, they're probably right too.

The thing that bugs me most however, is that while the pop-punk goes in the metal section, the older, real punk (Ramones, Clash etc.) gets put in the "Pop/Rock" section. If you're going to put new and old metal together, why not new and old punk too?

I remember way back in the day, where Tanner decided to make a thread saying I was a guy, and we all rolled with it.
I think from then on, a lot of peeps were confused, since it always made more sense that I was a guy. So some believed it, then others didnt, then the n00bs think im a guy, then the regs correct them, and then an old user comes and tells them they are wrong from the past thread.
