haha, i avoided Nevermore for the same reasons when I first listened to them. I got over him though and I think they are an OK band, but nothing groundbreaking or revolutionary to me.

I can't really stand that type of Death Metal either. I can listen to it for the sake of the instrumentation... but otherwise I prefer the more coherant growls of Mikael Akerfeldt, the Hypocrisy dude and the Kataklysm d00d

Well I don't haveoblems with Death Metal grunting etc...as long as I can keep up with it myself with my own grunting (I've gotten really good). Now I'm growling along with Deicede and Graveworm a lot...The Berzerker still is a little bit to fast for me though.
I prefer the overly br00tal stuff to the more coherent melodeath stuff. It makes me laugh and I growl lower better than shriek, sing, or shout; also why I use a voice distorter during live performances.

I use vocal distortion on all of my recording because I fail at shrieking and shouting, but I can grunt and yell.

By the way, I had my trial today for my graffiti arrest and this is what I got. I got 200 hours of community service (100 of it cleaning off graffiti), $237 fine, and 1 year of level 2 probation. I had originally got charged with 10 counts of third degree conspiracy, 9 counts of graffiti, 1 count of shoplifting, and one count of carrying graffiti implements. In the end, I got 1 count of graffiti and 1 count of implements.
