My school was playing TSO over the loud-speaker the other day. It was fucking kickass; they played it before 1st and after 9th period. All the other shit they played was outplayed regular Christmas shit. >=[

I look for different things. Part of me loves the melodic, epic Power Metal stuff. Another part loves the riffs and technicality and the contrast in mellow acoustics and heavy shit - Opeth, Dream Theater. And then another part just loves all out insanity - Meshuggah, SYL styleee.

Get Still Life!
Or if you want to get Orchid first, then download 'The Moor', 'Godhead's Lament' and 'To Bid You Farewell'
Those songs are total ownage.

I have every single Opeth release, and the best one, IMHO, is Damnation. Go ahead, flame me.

Damnation is great, but its my least favourite Opeth album - excusing 'Orchid', 'Morningrise', 'Delieverance' and 'Ghost Reveries' as I don't own those yet.

If you get faster internet I can send you those.

I'll be getting the CDs soon... I just gotta get three more Dream Theater albums to complete my collection, then I can finish my Opeth one.

In that case would you like my 10.8 hour Mayhem discography?

Sure, when I get a decent connection :).

I will once I've got myself into all the Opeth albums I get before that one. :P

I think you still havn't got When Dream and Day Unite and Falling Into Infinity, but which other DT album? Me, I need to get When Dream and Day Unite, A Change of Seasons, Falling Into Infinity and 6DOIT. I'll be ordering 6DOIT in a few days time and I might order ACOS with it. :)

Well you know how I bought Scenes... on Tuesday?
Well I ordered Falling Into Infinity and A Change of Seasons the same night from Amazon, so I'm waiting for them to come.
Then I just need Train of Thought, Six Degrees... and When Day and Dream Unite.
I'm hoping my mum has gotten me Score too. I doubt she has cause I never asked for it. But its new so she might of seen it and bought it. She knows I love DT since I constantly play them in the car whenever she's driving me somewhere.

Yay TSO! I'm been playing them and I will keep playing them for the Christmas season. >:)
Here I am, bored with everything.
Are there any songs by Soilwork with less screaming and more singing other than Departure Plan? I really like their instrumentals, but the screaming does not please me.
I do kind of like the Bringer, though, even with all of that screaming.
I love Departure Plan

Good luck finding some. They're melodic death metal, meaning it'll be hard to find some.

You might like Deadsea, although the are more of a melodic ambient progressive doom/deathrash. Check out the link in my sig, and listen to "NorthWitch".

Stop trying to whore off Deadsea, if I hear one more post about it, I'll fucking rip your e-penis out.

Yeah, I know.

Train of Thought is a pretty good album, although there is some rapping and Hetfield mimic singing.
But I think LaBrie is a lot better at singing like Hetfield than Heafy. :P

My aunt knows that I like Dream Theater since she's seen me buying 2 albums of theirs (Awake and Train of Thought), but I wouldn't expect anyone in my family to get me any Dream Theater stuff for christmas.
